Well, the wife is coming with me next month to my best friend’s wedding in NOLA. So it’s a trade-off. But I look forward to not having to go to her shit in the future.

After you’ve been married for a long time, those sacrifices become less mandatory. My parents have been married for 33 years. Mom is going to a wedding of a friend at the end of the month. my dad? no chance in hell he’s going.

I was discussing this the other day with some friends. My brother is getting married next month and that is the last wedding bullshit I will have to do for, I dunno, 20 years or so until the kid and friend’s kids get old enough to get married. I am thankful for that.
