The struggles continue for Tiger Woods. Following up on his 40th place finish at the Masters last month, Eldrick’s play at Quail Hollow Thursday and this morning at the Wells Fargo Championship could best be described as ordinary. If the media’s going to go ga-ga when Tiger performs well in non-majors (he’s back!), are they going to panic again now that he’s poised to miss the cut? It would be just the 8th time in his career he’s missed the cut.

Tiger’s a mere mortal guys, let’s face it. He’s never rebounded from the Thanksgiving car wreck, the injuries in recent years, (and maybe the loss of Dr. Galea, if you want to go that route) and he might never regain his old form. Sure, he might win another major or two, but catching Jack is rapidly becoming a pipe dream. The last time Tiger won a Major: US Open, 2008.

There’s still six weeks for Tiger to get his act together before the US Open. They’ll need him to get his mind right if they want people watching.
