Ballin’: Young Daughter of Big Baby Davis Steals the Show at Postgame Press Conference
LA Clippers 98, Memphis 105: Despite shooting 56 percent from the field, the Clippers were pummeled inside and Memphis pulled away in the final five minutes to knot the series at one. Memphis collected 16 offensive rebounds (LA had four), had an 18-6 advantage on 2nd chance points and got to the line 39 times (LA just 18). The series moves back to LA, but history is on the Grizzlies’ side.
San Antonio 114, Utah 83: Maybe they’ll get one in Utah and make this interesting? Getting broomed by the Spurs isn’t a great way to go into the offseason and try to pursue Steve Nash to move to Salt Lake City. Seven Spurs scored in double figures.
Indiana 97, Orlando 74: Yup, this series is over. If the Magic can’t take 3-pointers (only attempted 15), and can’t score inside, how do they expect to compete? Scoring totals for Orlando in this series: 81, 78, 74. Danny Granger scored 26 points for Indiana and made as many three-pointers (five) as the Magic did.

“Way to carry him, Hakeem!”
That got a good laugh out of me. So did Davis’ baby. She’s adorable.

My thoughts exactly. Are we supposed to know this dude? I’ve seen him on twitter before, but I just thought he ordinary like the rest of us.
May 3rd, 2012 at 10:40 AM
Yeah man… just sad.

Someone thinks very highly of themselves if they announce a retirement date from Twitter
May 3rd, 2012 at 10:44 AM
Jose3030 is probably the best NBA video guy on the web. We nearly hired him. He’s a good dude and very talented. But he’s stepping away from twitter July 1.

But he’s stepping away from twitter July 1.

May 3rd, 2012 at 10:45 AM
What for?
May 3rd, 2012 at 10:46 AM
Yea that guys name is on everything and it seems like he’s got a video about 2 seconds after something happens.
Why is he stopping/why didn’t you hire him?

Jose3030 mentioned something about his bucket list, other stuff to do
May 3rd, 2012 at 10:48 AM
So we might have to wait an extra 4 minutes for crazy screen grabs and sweet .GIFs?

Very interesting. Bin Laden’s private letters were released today.

Big Baby really shouldn’t carry his baby like that. I’ve never held a baby and even I wouldn’t do that.

Big Baby really shouldn’t carry his baby like that. I’ve never held a baby and even I wouldn’t do that.
here’s how you don’t carry a baby: in one arm while a meal’s worth of dishes is in the other hand, while going downstairs. then, don’t slip on those stairs, while dishes and baby go flying. but be glad that the baby lands on you
that’s how
May 3rd, 2012 at 10:53 AM
osama’s 2nd translated letter begins with…
yes, in the name of the merciful and compassionate god, we will now slaughter a bunch of people and threaten any pashtun whistleblowers with the torture and execution of their families while starting a war!
perhaps they should’ve revisited the “merciful and compassionate” part…
May 3rd, 2012 at 10:55 AM
It is bizarre. It also shows how segmented his network became. Offshoots of offshoots started doing their own thing.

May 3rd, 2012 at 10:56 AM
He might be a good guy but you have to be some kind of douche to announce you’re retiring from twitter. It’s fucking TWITTER. No one is demanding you tweet every day. No one is demanding you stop living life so you can tweet! What a weirdo.

husker…i never closed the mcraven wiki you linked to before, but think it’s hysterical that american’s ninja master was drinking a little mini jolt cola, or whatever it was. funny juxtaposition and all that.
May 3rd, 2012 at 10:58 AM
If he does all this (provide videos and whatnot) for free, then good for him to step away. Although, I’ve got to agree that it’s odd to announce a retirement.
May 3rd, 2012 at 11:00 AM
Jose is going to focus on importing rather than exporting.
May 3rd, 2012 at 11:00 AM
listen, osama, bubbaloo…the worst we did to prisoners was simulate drowning and make them stand for a long ass time while heavy metal blasted around them. you guys were the ones beheading journalists and disfiguring afghan women by cutting off their noses and breasts bro…
May 3rd, 2012 at 11:01 AM
I’ve got to agree that it’s odd to announce a retirement.
why, if he’s contributing to sites, he’s just using social media to let them know he won’t be anymore. not so strange, but then i’m not a twiterrer, so maybe it’s against hipster protocol
/ducks
May 3rd, 2012 at 11:03 AM
Im sure that started an argument with him and his girlfriend
May 3rd, 2012 at 11:04 AM
Just the opposite, in my opinion its perfectly in line with hipster protocol.
I get what you’re saying, but these sites were using him for material that he provided (I assume, but could be wrong) for free. He doesn’t owe them a heads up or a deadline. Plus, like SG said, it’s just twitter. He could scale back to do whatever he wants to do. It’s not like he has to sign a contract with a certain amount of output. The more I think about it, the stranger it seems.

I find myself agreeing with you a lot this week. I owe you a picture of my dog as thanks.

with all the gooofy shit people tweet about, this seems tame as hell
May 3rd, 2012 at 11:06 AM

May 3rd, 2012 at 11:08 AM

If I had any idea how to post them I would. Especially today because I do not feel like doing anymore work.

Does that mean SG’s autocorrected to puppy? We may have something here…

Will be in Indy next Tuesday for work. Any recs for good places to eat? I’m hoping the Pacers/Magic series gets stretched out to Game 5, as tickets were available for ~$20 last night when I checked.

Series is 2-1. I’ll bet you $100 there will be a game 5.
May 3rd, 2012 at 11:20 AM
That’s what I’m thinking with Game 4 in Orlando. I think I’ll plunk down the $20 and see my first deciding playoff game.
Thanks for the suggestion Spencer.

I too found the Jose3030 retirement via Twitter a bit weird. I mean, I love his work and am thankful for it, but those GIFs or videos were likely going to be posted regardless. The only difference is that Jose3030 does it within 5 minutes…but if its important enough, someone will have a gif or video within the hour.
He could have just taken a break, or, do the normal thing and post less frequently. The man is working for free and captures videos/GIFs of almost every NBA game every night…which means he sits around on his computer for hours at a time doing this on a daily basis. For free.
While that’s commendable, it also seems like a gigantic waste of life given that he’s not been able to secure employment out of it (unless he has). About time he decided to live a little.
