The suicide rate is what, 10 or 11 per 100,000. In a population of a few thousand, we’ve seen multiple suicides in the last year.

im pretty sure it’s lower than that…like 6.

What I mean is that the ridiculous claims implied here are completely unsupported:

I am expressing an opinion, and opinion that because of his notoriety he will be publicly the face of post-career problems. I am not diagnosing him with CTE at this point. Whether he has any brain trauma that shows up or not, he is a very prominent athlete with post-career problems–whether it be TO money problems or relationship issues.

I don’t think I ever passed something as fact. I also don’t think it’s ridiculous to have that opinion.

Maybe in his case, but I think susceptibility to chronic traumatic encephalopathy is somewhat genetic/pre-ordained. Players with short careers have been among the recent tragedies I believe.
