Reminder: $250 Million Man Albert Pujols Continues to Be Awful
Albert Pujols and the last-place Angels go up against Francisco Lirano and the Twins tonight. In between watching the Lakers maul the Nuggets again, I’ll probably try to watch each Pujols at-bat.
With April in the books, let’s point out just how bad Pujols has been:
.217 batting average
.265 on-base percentage
0 HRs
4 RBI
His worst month as a pro. If Pujols can’t get back on track against a bum like Liriano (0-3, 11.02 ERA) …

What’s the difference between Albert Pujols and a company worth $240 million? The company would have a HR.

Ahh, damn. Amarillo Slim died. His autobiography is excellent. Lots of great stories and he shat all over Jimmy the Greek in one chapter.

“If there’s anything I’ll argue about, I’ll either bet on it or shut up. And since it’s not very becoming for a cowboy to be arguing, I’ve made a few wagers in my day. But in my humble opinion, I’m no ordinary hustler. You see, neighbor, I never go looking for a sucker. I look for a champion and make a sucker out of him …”
Amarillo Slim. Legend.

Hate to see a fat guy struggle.
Outside of Fatty Arbuckle, Ralph Kramden, Chris Farley, and Jon Belushi, has there ever not been a fat guy who didn’t struggle?

Fuck all of you! I’m going to the game tonight, and Pujols will hit his first HR!

gfunk, I don’t remember what I was trying to say either. It’s been a long day. I expended too much of my brain power at work today and in laying waste to the ‘Larry Brown is a Bad Human Being’ post.

Yeah I caught some of that. Nice work. As my bad quote skills also show I’m with you on the long day thing.
