Dwyane Wade Threw Mike Bibby’s Shoe
The Knicks and Heat are in a fierce battle right now. Mike Bibby’s sneaker fell off during play, Dwyane Wade picked it up and threw it towards the bench. Don’t blame Bibby for forgetting to tie his sneakers – at his age he went to Velcro years ago. [Vid via Jose]

uh, much ado about nothing much?
He threw it just far enough to get it off the playing surface, as the TV guys were acknowledging at the end there.

Well, tarnation. “I resemble that remark”.

This was much ado? I think it was funny and worth a post. It’s not often a guy looks a competitor in the eye while picking up his shoe, then throws it off the court in the middle of play.
A bit underhanded? Sure. (It’s laughable if you believe he did it for safety reasons- it’s D Wade.) Hilarious and well played? Absolutely.

Ron Artest did this to Trevor Ariza a few years back. Except Ron didn’t throw it towards Ariza’s bench, he threw the shoe behind the goalpost.

Ron did this to Ariza when he came back to LA for the first time.

lol. That was awesome. I love the eye contact while he threw it and ran back down the court. You can see Bibby basically go “Seriously?”

Threw? How about “tossed”.
