Rajon Rondo Angrily Chest-Bumped a Referee and Probably Will Be Suspended For Game Two
Hawks 83, Celtics 74 in game one. And Boston might not have point guard Rajon Rondo in game two after he was ejected for bumping a referee late in the loss. What a colossal brick by Rondo, who was understandably upset with the horrible call (gotta call a jump ball there). Rondo popped off, then took a step closer to ref Mark Davis – I’m surprised Davis didn’t walk away – tripped a bit, but clearly bumped him with his chest.
Is an 0-2 deficit insurmountable? Probably not, as long as Ray Allen returns to full strength at some point very soon. [vid via Jose 3030]

Boston looks beatable and Rose is out for the playoffs. The team JMac predicted would not make the playoffs this season (Atlanta Hawks) could actually make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.
/Yes, I’m a Hawks fan
//But seriously, this could happen

Seemed like he actually kind of tripped over the refs foot and fell into him. Stern takes care of the big market/fanbase teams, no suspension.

Boston will shoot better from 3.. That is for sure

is stern the nba’s shanny, like goodell? is it his call here?

Stu jackson is in charge of discipline but Stern obviously rubber stamps all decisions

my heart and head don’t care, but my money wants the celtics to turn it around. this makes me nervous. only thing good about 7-game series is plenty of time to turn it around

I love the insta-reactions that occur in the NBA playoffs.

Chicago – i’ve gotten 10 tweets already that the Clippers have “no chance.”
I Guess that means they’re getting swept or will lose in 5.

ou812 – yup, let’s pencil ATL into the ECF

Love Barkley’s reaction about Rondo’s excuse. “He’s lying” sums it up for me.
In other news, my Grizz look good for a half. But in the NBA, everybody makes a run.

LOL JMac, so far I’ve seen a lot of the following:
Bulls will lose to Philly (no)
Hawks in 5 (no)
Heat in a dominant 4 (if refs are the same, maybe, otherwise no)
Magic will dominate the series (highly unlikely)
Clips are done for (game’s not even over; could easily turn in future games)
It’s silly to bitch about this stuff, but it also kills me that people that are paid to do this make overreactions based on 1 playoff game.
Simmons was the best, calling game over for the Celtics on twitter when they were down 12 in the 3rd quarter. Come the fuck on.

Chicago…simmons does that for the reverse jinx all the time

Yea, I know. I just can’t decide if that makes him more or less of a dumbass.

Bulls won’t lose to Philly. They’re still good enough to get to the ECF.
Hawks might win series (esp. if Rondo is suspended) but they wont win a game in Boston.
Heat might sweep, win in 5 at least.
Magic-Pacers is a toss-up.
I like Memphis to come out of the West, so i’m not giving the Clippers much of a chance.
