Last week, with a runner on first, a pitcher fielded an easy grounder but, unsure of himself, threw the man out at first instead of cutting off the lead runner. Blew a two run lead to lose the game. I imagine Ozzie yelled at them and the following night, the first baseman threw to secound — trying to cut off the lead runner — and threw the ball over the second baseman’s head! He could have at least stepped on first base and got the easy out. Lost again.

People, this is fundamental stuff. They going to realize after the money and the big stadium and all the hoopla finally fades, what’s left is the game. Maybe we’ll see some baseball then.

I 100% agree with this. CJ Wilson has been good but Pujols has been terrible. Trumbo is an adventure at the hot corner defensively. When I was watching a game the other day and saw what their starting OF was comprised of I wondered to myself why we thought so highly of this team. They’ve got a great young infield (outside of the 32* year old Pujols) but that team needs some outfielders like whoa. Ones that aren’t old or making stupid money like Wells.

Trumbo’s played all of two games at third this year, I think. It’s not his fault, he’s the only hitting in the lineup. The outfield is dog shit your right though. They just need to bite the bullet and bring up Trout. At least he’ll have a better shot of hitting more the Bourjous. Bring up Trout, play Trumbo in right, and rotate between Vernon and Torri. At least Vernon is showing signs of power early on.

I didn’t say it would happen, just said it would be the smart move. Sanchez could bring back maybe a B+ prospect, and the Marlins have nothing besides Yelich. Maybe a team like Milwaukee, Houston, Baltimore or Cleveland take a shot at him.
