Bourbon fans, do yourself a favor and find a bottle of Willett Rare Release (like this, not this). It's an aged rye'd bourbon (totally different than the wheated Papy Van Winkle) that is amazing. It's 6 years to 28 years old. Awesome.So you know about my tastes, my $20 bourbon is Buffalo Trace, with Bulleit and Four Roses tie for a close second, next in line comes Four Roses Single Barrel (had some that tasted not unlike Captain Morgan, but due to charring, not corn syrup), with Woodford Reserve in that range. ^^^Willett is a treat.

My sister worked for an airline that flew to vacation locales, lots of trips to mexico (around 1994 ish). The flight crew never went through customs. She was always bringing back tons of tequila and other liquor. So Im leaving for my fist year of college, and she realizes she has way too many fifths of tequila she’d never get through and lets me take about 8 of them to school. This wasn’t top shelf stuff but we’d turn them into prarie fires and knock 1-2 down every night before leaving for a party or whatever.

I’ve gone threw a lot of brown liquor lately. Liked: Black Maple Hill, Willet, Anything from High West or Michters.

Didnt like: Rowans Creek, Noahs Mill. Probably my fault for buying shit that sounds like a CW show.

Went to a bar that had a huge selection and had some clear/white whiskey, tasted oddly like tequila.

Those don’t taste bad, but they are awful to look at…as the name implies.
