Joel Ward’s Game 7 Overtime Game-Winner Eliminated the Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins have been eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs. There will be no defense of the Stanley Cup. Joel Ward scored the game-winner early in overtime to send the Capitals to the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
Just for fun, here’s Dennis Seidenberg with his own version of a butterfly save. Talk about giving up your body.

As the third biggest Caps fan to comment here regularly I say, this is great! I am just finding out about it now

As a hardcore Bruins fan, I congratulate the Caps!!! They deserved the series and had a brilliant plan to protect a young goalie and take the series. They outplayed Boston on the balance and deserve to go to Round 2. If Ovie gets a wake up call and buys in to playing both ends of the ice, it may help revive his career. It’s probably good for the NHL that Ovie gets to play in the next round even if an original 6 gets bounced. I still hate Dale Hunter, but give him huge credit for sitting Ovie, proving his point and still winning the series. Gutsy…
FYI, I know everyone hates Boston. I get it, and understand why. Just so you know, not all of us taaaaahk with a wicked accent, are nicknamed Sully and are rude and crude. We don’t all think the world owes us another title (many of us are grateful for the recent run and not greedy). A lot of us hate Sweet Caroline at Fenway, resent those who don’t know who Steve Grogan is or remember old Foxboro Stadium (had season tix at that dump and LOVED IT!!!), and remember PJ Axelson and Anson Carter as much as we remember Chara and Tim Thomas. We aren’t all obnoxious and annoying, but given who you all probably see and encounter, I understand the hate…

Those Bruins fans that tweeted that racist garbage did it wearing a Garnett jersey or an old Moss Patriots jersey. F’n hypocrites. Bye Bye Boston. Tim Thomas, karma.

You should comment more often in smaller increments.

Sorry Man. I’ll change my user name to Tolstoy. At least my wife appreciates length…
In regards to the racist tweets by Boston fans, it sickens me too and doesn’t represent our city/area. Sadder especially since this is the franchise of hockey pioneer Willie O’Ree.
