Former Bengals Linebacker Nate Webster Convicted of Unlawful Sexual Conduct With a Minor
Former NFL linebacker Nate Webster has been convicted on four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He was acquitted for “gross sexual imposition, sexual battery and one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.”
Webster was charged with having sex with a 15-year-old girl who was babysitting for him while he was a member of the Cincinnati Bengals. His defense was the encounters did not begin until she had reached the Ohio age of consent, 16.
The counts carry a potential prison term of up to 20 years. He rejected a four-year plea deal that would have left him on the sex offender registry.

Age of consent is 16 in Michigan too, but I don’t think 30+ year olds can go out and have the sex with 16 year olds. But I never fully understood age of consent laws; but now the only number that matters to me is 18.

Michigan I believe it’s 16-18 year olds can have sex. But if you’re over 18 the age of consent is 18. So they aren’t going to charge two HS upperclassmen for consensual sex but older gents can’t go trolling for 16-year-olds.
