Tom Brady Attended the Grand Opening of a Boutique Dressed as Snooty Paperboy
Tom Brady, Patriots quarterback and renowned fashion chameleon, stopped by the grand opening of the rag & bone boutique on Newbury Street this weekend with Gisele in tow after taking in the Red Sox-Yankees game at Fenway.
This is important news because Brady did so by dressing as a scornfully arrogant, hipster paperboy who might ironically deliver the previous day’s edition of your local newspaper. Sadly, without a beard or at least some intentionally raggedy scruff, I’m afraid the bridge to Williamsburg, Brooklyn will be off limits to him. For now, Sir Tommy’s route has been restricted to the Upper East Side.

I want my 2 dollars!!
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:13 PM
Mrs. Brady is looking fine I see.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:15 PM
Brady needs to get away from Giselle, hasn’t won a Superbowl since her.
Matt Kemp is killing the world since he ditched Rhianna.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:18 PM
No riiiiiiiiiiiiiingz, however.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:18 PM
Sigh.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:19 PM
Best Regular Season QB of All Time: Peyton or Marino?
Best Playoff QB of all time: Montana, Aikman, or Brady?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:19 PM
I just want to know if he knows he looks ridiculous.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:20 PM
Never has an athlete gone from such extremes of scrappy underdog you just can’t help but like to unbearable douchebag.
Newbury St is the fucking worst.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:21 PM
He’s gotten closer than 90% of the rest of the league
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:22 PM
I bet the guy with the #5 shirt on and the guy on the far right are banging
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:22 PM
I sometimes think he does, and he does it just because he can. Like, I’m Tom fucking Brady, so what?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:22 PM
Best Regular Season QB of All Time: Peyton or Marino?
Best Playoff QB of all time: Montana, Aikman, or Brady?
This is tough, but I’ll go with Marino and Montana.

Well said
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:23 PM
I don’t get this sentiment. He wears clothes like anyone would if they were married to a fashion model and looked like Brady. He also plays with fire and emotion as a “pretty boy” QB, which is nice to see. I love how he is on the field and couldn’t care less what he wears or does off of it.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:23 PM
Close doesn’t count for much, sweetie.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:24 PM
This. This once again proves that it’s just Brady’s world, and we’re living in it.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:24 PM
I refuse to believe any man would willingly dress like that unless his GF or wife threatened to cut him off.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:24 PM
Montana has played in four super bowls. His team has won all four and he’s thrown 11 touchdowns and never even had a turnover.
I think that one is pretty clear, yeah.
/things we’ve talked about a million times
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:24 PM
snooty paperboy, thats awesome.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:24 PM
Manning and Montana.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:24 PM
As awkward and aw shucks-y as Eli is, it has to comfort Giants fans knowing they’ll never see him at stupid shit like this.
He’s probably home right now trying to decide how to win his team another Super Bowl.
What a fall from grace, Tom.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:27 PM
It counts in the sense that no one’s blaming Roethlisberger’s beard wife for him not winning in 4 years
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:27 PM
/likes that sweater
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:27 PM
I sometimes think he does, and he does it just because he can. Like, I’m Tom fucking Brady, so what?
I’d have to go with “his wife dresses him.” Imagine how awful some of the things he’s refused must have looked
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:27 PM
In the Roundup Jason says how excited he is about the week ahead in sports and the games played yesterday, yet two of the morning posts are “hey look at this picture”. Nice work.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:28 PM
I sometimes think he does, and he does it just because he can. Like, I’m Tom fucking Brady, so what?
All of this.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:28 PM
probably because he was never a scrappy underdog. underdogs typically don’t go to michigan and get drafted. so tommy has a chip on his shoulder because he got drafted lower than he thought he deserved…fuck him.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:28 PM
Yes, but you cant just throw out the 3 years between Superbowls 2 and 3 where he lost in the first round each year, being heavy favorites most of the time. His NFC matchups against the Giants and Vikings were much tougher matchups then whatever the AFC threw against him back then.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
You think he’s sitting in on defensive meetings, putting together a pass rush that peaks during the playoffs?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
I bet the guy with the #5 shirt on and the guy on the far right are banging
Hell, yeah, those guys look gangster as shit
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
If this was in jest, bravo.
/if it wasn’t…
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
Horse face, you mean.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
I hate Gisele-era Tom Brady more than Bridget-era Tom Brady. I never would have thought it was possible.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
Plenty of evidence Brady is a bright guy with a pretty decent sense of humor. So if I had to bet I would bet he “gets it”. But I’m not convinced.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:29 PM
Not true, my brother and I have discussed how he was better back when he was rapin and pillaging.
And I think beard wife implies ghey. He’s just fat and stupid.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:30 PM
If Reche Caldwell or Welker could catch worth a shit he’d have 5 rings.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:31 PM
Nope, it’s all the curse of Giselle.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:31 PM
And I think beard wife implies ghey. He’s just fat and stupid.
I was wondering about that, too. I thought it was acceptable usage, though. Would sham wife have been more appropriate?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:31 PM
and if my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Not true, my brother and I have discussed how he was better back when he was rapin and pillaging.
Is it awkward for Mrs. Rapey when they are at a restaurant and Ben says he has to visit the bathroom. Or when they go to a hotel and they need to call the front desk?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Not sure if serious
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Youre right. Whats the word for ‘fake wife that you marry to cover up the raping you plan to continue doing’?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:33 PM
Is it awkward for Mrs. Rapey when they are at a restaurant and Ben says he has to visit the bathroom. Or when they go to a hotel and they need to call the front desk?
Why would Ben’s wife be with him at the hotel?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:33 PM
…and banging this on the side
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:34 PM
You think he’s sitting in on defensive meetings, putting together a pass rush that peaks during the playoffs?
Nope, he’s thinking of how to make an even more awesome clutch pass to keep a drive alive and win the SB.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:34 PM
Open the gates and Seize the Day Tawmmy!
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:35 PM
balaclava?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:35 PM
Nope, it’s all the curse of Giselle.
I don’t think it has anything to do with the on field results, but off the field he really has become a total douche. I can’t imagine his teammates don’t just shit on him for stuff like this in the locker room.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:36 PM
Oh, so he’s coaching the receivers on technique and drills?
I agree, that’s what Brady should be doing. You’d think he’d learn from the last 2 SBs.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:36 PM
balaclava?
Well played.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:37 PM
Spencer
Uncle Urban’s doing quite well recruiting the past couple days eh?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:37 PM
Also, if 8 years ago you would have told me that I think Peyton would be way more fun to hang out with than Brady I would have called you a dipnoodle and laughed in your face.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:38 PM
I’ll give you Reche Caldwell. Possibly.
But nothing Welker did cost them a Super Bowl. Brady is bringing a knife to a gun fight when it comes to playing Eli Manning in the Super Bowl.
The sooner Pats fans realize that, the better.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:39 PM
Maybe we can all agree that any quarterback who threw a pivotal downfield interception to slowest-linebacker-in-the-NFL-Chase Blackburn in a Super Bowl can’t be the greatest playoff quarterback of all time.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:40 PM
I wish someone else had said this, because I don’t think I can win a battle of snark with this guy.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:40 PM
half decent…also, the shit eating grin on UFM’s face when he announced kenny guiton vs. braxton in the circle drill gave me a football-induced semi.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:41 PM
Brady shouldn’t be knocked down a peg or two for losing a super bowl. Getting to just one in your career is pretty fucking hard, let alone five.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:43 PM
so what you’re saying is, the bulk of the credit should really go to the coaches and his teammates*? agreed.
*+1 game winning drive…seven plays, 26 yards, 0:43 to get into field goal range**
**this is what legends are made of
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:43 PM
Adam Vinatieri is the greatest playoff kicker of all time, I’ll tell you that much.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:44 PM
/kicks the ball out of bounds
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:44 PM
That was pretty badass. Now he needs to win this year and next so when he goes into recruits homes to say God told them to go to Ohio State he can also say, oh, and we win, too.
/fraud
//but a great coach
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:44 PM
Wait, he’s only had 1 game winning drive?
What’s interesting is in the last 2 Superbowls, he had 2 game winning drives, until the defense gave it up to Manning with a minute left. Or does Brady play defense too?
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:45 PM
Oh, so he’s coaching the receivers on technique and drills?
Snarky, snark, snark.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:46 PM
i dunno…brady fans have me pretty convinced that peyton manning does indeed play defense, so i figured brady did too.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:46 PM
Tom Brady, a great quarterback who’s never winning again. Frankly, I don’t blame the guy.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:47 PM
We just picked that up last season from the media talking about the Colts missing Pey Pey.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:47 PM
+1 kickoff out of bounds on one of the chokingest special teams plays ever to give the Patriots a short field for the win
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:47 PM

He should just flip her over and pretend it’s Tom.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:51 PM
Here’s what I don’t get … someone wearing a pair of glasses with clear lenses. You know those aren’t prescription. And he’s probably got contact lenses on.
/waits for pic of Brady with belt AND suspenders
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:52 PM
+1
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:53 PM
Brady’s recent lackluster playoff success has nothing to do with marrying Giselle, and everything with post-Spygate karma and jilting JET Moynahan’s mom.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:58 PM
Time management has never been a big skill of Tom’s. I don’t think you’ll find any among us who’ll disagree.
Eli has a rare combination of clutch + clock management ability that hasn’t been seen since Montana. Respect.
April 23rd, 2012 at 12:59 PM
Landsnark.
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:00 PM
Just once I want Eli to be forced to scramble and slide in a Super Bowl. Because that will be the beginning of the end of this nightmare.
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:03 PM
Not if his linemen are allowed to get away with 5 counts of holding while he ‘scrambles’
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:08 PM
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Are you suggesting holding isn’t the most uniformly consistent and accurate penalty called in the league?
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:08 PM
Tom Brady’s a disgrace to the uniform.
/Newman’d
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:20 PM
More like Alfred E. Newman, amirite?
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:21 PM
Brady isn’t that interesting
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:28 PM
This thread looks too much like an ESPN board. Light on intelligence thought heavy on the regurgitated fanatical idiocy.
So the take away here is that one can become an unbearable douchebag and a worse QB by simply not dressing like you. Ok got it.
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:36 PM
“Intelligent thought”
April 23rd, 2012 at 1:39 PM
You’re right. We should have been breaking down the benefits of switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 in a post about Tom Brady’s wardrobe while attending a party.
