Here’s Metta World Peace Knocking James Harden Down with a Violent Elbow
Ron Artest, what are you thinking? So you dunked on Durant Ibaka. Great! Was elbowing James Harden in the head necessary? Some people will call this unintentional, but when Artest went to thump his chest, Harden was right there, and you can see the extra umph added to the backswing.
Then Ron Artest got into a fighting stance when Serge Ibaka approached him.
Harden had scored 13 points in 14 minutes, and left for the locker room.
Guess the Metta World Peace suspension. I’ll say 8 games.

Yea, unfortunate incident. But for those who watch the Lakers on a regular basis, you know that MWP likes to celebrate by flailing his arms and kissing his biceps. Take a good look at the video and you won’t be able to deny that Harden intentionally jumped in MWP’s face to slow down his celebration. It is widely known that Harden and Peace (along with other Lakers players) have had words in previous meetings. While it was a cheap shot, it was not intentional or malicious. Give Harden some blame for getting in Peace’s face!!

Typical cheap shot be Metta World Fail. My only question, how did OKC not immediately insert one of their bench guys to “guard” Kobe aggressively, and if an inadvertent elbow flies in his face, well, so be it. Guess that’s why I’m not a coach, after checking on Harden, that would be the next thing on my mind.

It’s weird, because it wasn’t intentional, but it was. Clearly Ron’s going into some kind of WWE celebration move, and doesn’t have “Destroy James Harden” on his mind. Yet Harden is draped over him for a good second or two before Artest delivers the kill shot; there’s no way he doesn’t know that someone’s body is back there.
Also, if you’re saying Harden deserved this, you’re a moron. Harden isn’t trying to mess with Artest, he’s trying to get the inbounds so the Thunder can go get a quick bucket
