Texas has slightly more than A&M. I’ve not spent much time at A&M, but when you drive through UT’s campus it actually doesn’t feel like a huge, sprawling mess of buildings. It’s actually a very pleasant campus to be on. Lots of trees and winding roads.

You should have given UGA a try for one semester. I suspect you would be singing a different tune. Now, had you gone to some horrible town like East Lansing, where a 10 is a mere 4 in Athens, Ga, I could see you coming back to your smaller school thrilled with your choice.

Me neither. Surprising how much I enjoyed a big(ish) school in a city, coming from rural New England. I just liked the anonymity. I was sick of going in the bank and having people I’ve never met talk to me like they knew me and I had to pretend I had a clue who they were, because they knew my parents or someone.

on the plus side, the right time of night the campus basketball courts were completely empty which gave way to fantastic indoor football and wiffleball during the winter.
and the security guards liked to play for a couple minutes if they were at the end of their rounds so they were cool with it.
