FIFA is Building a $198 Million Underground Museum, Because It Can
FIFA has $1.2 billion in cash reserves. It is no surprise they found a stupid way to spend it. Soccer’s governing body is building a $198 million underground museum next to FIFA headquarters, which will have “3D animations, interactive games, trophies… everything a football fan could wish for.” Because soccer fans wish for tacky museums.
According to Sepp Blatter, ”it is high time that world football had a meeting place for its millions of fans.” Exactly, it’s not as though the world is littered with stadiums where they can congregate.
The only surprising thing will be if all $198 million goes to construction costs and all of the 120 jobs it creates are legitimate and filled through fair hiring practices.

For the last 5 years I have been waking up hoping that today was the day a FIFA museum was going to be built. For 5 years I started my days in disappointment. Well you know what? Tomorrow I will wake up happy thanks to Sepp!
