She likes a rare bird in that dress in the above photo. Here’s a pic in her more natural setting.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:09 AM
Yes it is. The Pens haven’t won a home playoff game since like 1932

Turned on the TV last nite around 10pm expecting a hockey game saw that PIT was beating PHI by a TD late in the game.

Community college brawl involving a woman who brought her small child to school.
First thing you do is the the kid the fuck out of there.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:17 AM
Not a fan of hyperbole I see.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:17 AM
do I have to watch the video embedded in that Twit to understand what this means? cause that video’s about hockey.

The team, mostly eighth graders, beat out top high schools like Stuyvesant in Manhattan and Thomas Jefferson in Alexandria, Va.
Great for them.
the bear from Ted humping Sidney Crosby
He calls that a dirty fuzzie.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:18 AM
Keyon Doolings simply GUSHES about Garnett as a teammate in that Rondo article.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:21 AM
I just dont get it.. have they had trouble in home playoff games? I dont remember that happening the past few years, especially not the Cup year.

Was that a dude attacking that woman with the kid??? Wow, so much for chivalry. At least she put the kid down before she went on the attack.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:22 AM
Anyone ever been to Salt Lake International Airport? It’s like a mall food court with even less personality. It’s what I imagine America will look like if Romney wins.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
The Rowdies arrreee, a kick in the grass!
April 19th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
In the last couple years, yes. Got knocked out in both games sevens at home in embarrassing efforts. Plus the first two games in the series was nothing but vomit.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:24 AM
I made it through 1:14. it wasn’t good. am I supposed to know who that is?
April 19th, 2012 at 8:25 AM
You were told something was the new Rebecca Black and you watched a minute of it? What the fuck is wrong with you?
April 19th, 2012 at 8:27 AM
I don’t even wanna talk about last night. Was a disgusting performance. Switched over to MLB Network during the 2nd period.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:27 AM
You were told something was the new Rebecca Black and you watched a minute of it? What the fuck is wrong with you?
I watched the whole Sand Sharks trailer.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:28 AM
never been. I have fond memories of the mall food court though…Chick-fil-A, Auntie Anne’s, token pizza place that changes its name every 1-2 years because it can’t pass health code standards on the regular, token chinese place that changes its name every 1-2 years because it can’t pass health code standards on the regular.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
Why the hell would I know what a Rebecca Black is? CRM is the video king so I gave it a chance, but today his videos suck.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
I don’t know who that is! should I? Steve CoRM included it in his Roundup so I made the faulty assumption it was important or funny.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
I just hope maybe on friday the refs back off a little bit on the minor infractions. Police the big stuff, but we dont need 20+ minor penalties called.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
Read that Gulf seafood story yesterday. It’s incredible that al jazzera is the one to break that story. Not CNN. Not the NYT. Not New Orleans or Alabama papers. Al fucking Jazzera.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:32 AM
I’m staring at a TCBY, a Burger King, a Pizza Hut and some random pizza place that will be closed soon because it can’t pass health code standards.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:34 AM
They finally cast someone less believable than Denise Richards as a scientist. Brooke Hogan can barely read.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:38 AM
I am shocked by the commenters I see claiming they don’t know who Rebecca Black is.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:41 AM
Saw the trailer for that movie referenced above, Ted, who has Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis as live actors and Seth McFarland who voices Ted. Looks horrible. McFarland voice sounds too much like Peter for that Ted animated character. After this I fear that he will screw up The Flintstone’s.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:41 AM
Sadly I know because my teenage step-daughter sang that song all the time when it came out.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
Believable as a scientist, she was studying biogenetic engineering before she broke into taking her shirt off.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
It’s almost Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday. Is everyone lookin’ forward to the weekend? I’ll be partyin’, partyin’, yeah!
/I mean, never heard of Rebecca Black
April 19th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
You still watch the Killing. Glass houses and all that jazz.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
I knew who Rebecca Black was and still watched the first 60 seconds thinking it had to be better than Friday.
It’s tough to judge.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
I’m starting to feel a little self-conscious. is it really ridiculous that I don’t know who she is? did I hibernate and miss some important event with her? or is she one of the main characters of Game of Mad Walking Dead Men Thrones?
April 19th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
It was quite annoying, but I guess they wanted to play it tight after not doing their job in game 3.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
I apparantly went the longest time without knowing, found out what she was, and did my best to avoid the song. Somehow it got through 1 or 2 times.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
Can’t say I’ve never heard this “song”, didn’t know who was “singing”, though.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:44 AM

When I click on that it gives me a picture of some chick in a donut hat.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:44 AM
I actually alternate alarm ringtones between Friday and Bone Thugs’ First of the Month. One amuses the shit out of me, the other is bad ass. I won’t say which is which.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:45 AM
You’ve done it correctly.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:45 AM
does she show her dick in the movie?
/TBL
April 19th, 2012 at 8:46 AM
hilarious. she’s a looker too…needs less makeup around the eyes though.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:46 AM
While those Astros uniforms became cool after the fact, those Nuggetts jersies were cool at the time. I don’t recall anybody mocking them back then.
The old Padres logo of the missionairy and the bat was awesome, but those unis were bad.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
A FUCKING HAT!!!!!
April 19th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
I’m guessing (hoping) this is the bad ass one and I completely agree.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:48 AM
Miz, you heard about this gem?
April 19th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
Brooklyn definitely got some happy action lesbian time with Erin and Chrissy on their “vacation”.

April 19th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
yep. don’t worry about it, he won’t be coaching in Akansas. his agent is Jimmy Sexton…floating names is his calling card.

[Scene: A New York apartment. Someone knocks on the door.]
Woman: [not opening the door] Yes?
Voice: (mumbling) Mrs. Arlsburgerhhh?
Woman: Who?
Voice: (mumbling) Mrs. Johannesburrrr?
Woman: Who is it?
Voice: [pause] Flowers.
Woman: Flowers for whom?
Voice: [long pause] Plumber, ma’am.
Woman: I don’t need a plumber. You’re that clever shark, aren’t you?
Voice: [pause] Candygram.
Woman: Candygram, my foot. You get out of here before I call the police. You’re the shark, and you know it.
Voice: Wait. I-I’m only a dolphin, ma’am.
Woman: A dolphin? Well…okay. [opens door]
[Huge latex and foam-rubber shark head lunges through open door, chomps down on woman's head, and drags her out of the apartment, all while the Jaws attack music is playing.]
April 19th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
I love cats but that is one crazy animal.
April 19th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
I don’t think I’ll ever live down the 1976 Chicago White Sox unis. The Mighty Ducks’ are fine however. That might be nostalgia though. And I love/used to own the rainbow Nuggets, Supersonics, and Astros jerseys.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
Should I be most upset that:
1. It’s a nasty fight
2. A woman in the fight is holding a small child
3. A guy is beating on a woman
4. There are more people taking video than are fighting
5. A website is dedicated to publishing this garbage
6. It didn’t happen in an IHOP
People are the worst. The worst, I tell ya.

April 19th, 2012 at 9:03 AM
Arkansas knows Sexton well from the hootie nutt days. I know it won’t happen, there is too much nice stuff associated with Arkansas athletics that would turn into a cinder pile if he was hired, it’s funny though.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:03 AM
My wife and i were flipping through the channels last night after watching Downton Abbey and that “Toddlers and Tiaras” show was on. I’m not sure what’s worse, the fat ugly parents living in trailers and spending thousands of $$$ on pageants or the people who run the show giving these freaks a platform?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:03 AM
This list is woefully lacking this.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:04 AM
Decent. Has sort of a BFMV sound. Digging on this.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
Today’s edition of Now I Feel Really Old:
Driving into work, I heard Tool on the Classic Rock station.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
Since no one seems to be explaining who Rebecca Black is or why she’s relevant in the slightest… She’s some HS chick that paid a production company for her own music video. They gave her a song that one of the production guys wrote, called Friday. It was released on Youtube and it became popular due to how remarkably horrible it was for someone that went to so much effort.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
Downton Abbey to Toddlers and Tiaras … The only way to follow that step down in class is Hookers On The Point.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
link goes to some dudes twitter account.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
And then she got a cameo in Katy Perry’s TGIF video, which was also kind of hilarious.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
Driving into work, I heard Tool on the Classic Rock station.
I’m going to guess it’s “Sober” unless the station is cool and played “46 & 2″
April 19th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
this should be read by anyone who’d be outraged by this.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
did you hear the latest numbers on phone calls and texts between Bob and Jessica? something like 3000 texts in a month. I’m sure the framers of the Freedom of Information Act had college football coach investigations in mind when they drafted it up.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
I’m going to guess it’s “Sober” unless the station is cool and played “46 & 2″Eulogy.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
I had a stopover there on the way back from a job interview. I remember it being very bland in all manner of speaking.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
Truth. I should also note that the hit counter on her Friday video went up insanely fast, and really highlighted the supreme power of the internets.

April 19th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
yeah, it was shocking.
had to cleanse the pallet with some Wonder Years. thankfully Wonder Years is now interactive if you have Shazam and Spotify to create a custom playlist.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
that’s three busted links by my count. I’m certain Steve is playing a joke on us.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
Eulogy
Great song — though my only gripe is Maynard wrote some wacky\corny lyrics in it.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
Eulogy.
the fact that i have never seen them live is a giant failure. Aenema is such a badass album. favorite tool song- bottom.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Opiate.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
As hilarious as the Sand Sharks trailer was, the Community College video was soooooo much more depressing.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
Schism then sober.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
Miz is here today, no need to insult him to his face.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
yeah, the conspiracy theorist, which seem to number in the several hundred of Arkansas “fans” say that there are a bunch of photo’s as well, some of them sent from Petrino. surely the EIC is giddy over the possibility of some old man dong pics.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Admit it, as soon as it’s available for $1.99, you’re on it. It looks bad enough to be entertaining.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Ran into Tony Romo yesterday at the golf course. That was pretty cool.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
The answer is “Pushit.”
Good GOD am I hungover.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
What happened to Marisa Miller? Was she black-balled from the Perfect Model Club or something?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
In the Fix Education mash up, when the kid bites the teacher on the arm, what movie is that from? I need to see that movie. Now.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:20 AM
When did Bleacher Report consume USA Today?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:20 AM
no, I can take it.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
nice…was he playing? he seemed pretty legit on that playing lessons from the pros thing he did.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
Pushit then Hooker with a Penis.
They are great live. Their tours are few and far between. Saw them in Feb.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
I’ll admit to DVRing it as soon as it’s on SyFy.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
Pushit is the best Tool song. I would go Pushit, Lateralus, Hooker With A Penis, 46 & 2, Undertow.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
Miz is here today, no need to insult him to his face.
no, I can take it.
He’s used to facials.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
Maynards other band Puscifer was touring, saw them in Boston last fall. First concert I had been to in many years.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
thanks for linking that, Spencer. that’s some heavy shit.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
I like APC too, I like pretty much anything where Maynard is singing.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
bottom, schism, hooker with a peen, aenema, stinkfist
April 19th, 2012 at 9:28 AM

Yes! — I love me some Henry Rollins. Rollins Band is badass too.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
I know her name, but she could walk into my office and I wouldn’t have known what she looked like.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
Aenema for me. That song is so fucking angry.
They were in Atlanta in February but it sold out so quick and I wasn’t able to get a ticket.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:29 AM
I always liked Die Eier Von Satan, but then again I’m a fan of ridiculous humor.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
I saw them a few years ago at lolla. It was a pretty awesome show.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
Okay…that cat video was fucking awesome. Mother fucker was smiling…literally.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
Maynard is a brewer of fine wine now. I think he’s mellowed a bit with age (he’s 48!). But Mellow Maynard is probably more angry than most people.
I know Judith by APC was one of their most popular and mainstream songs, but I love it. The lyrics and meaning are full of badassery.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
is he a member at your course? Nolan Richardson used to be a member at my course, not sure if he still is or not. I would love to play a round with Nolan though.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
He was smiling cuz he was going to suck out your soul while you were sleeping. Fuck cats.
/team dogs
April 19th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
I saw them three days before 9/11. That’s how I remember it. It was during the Lateralus days. Maynard stood behind this screen and his silhouette was the only thing you saw of him for the ENTIRE SHOW. He was bald and in underwear.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
During the first intermission of the Pens\Flyers game I was watching 311 on the HDNet concert series. I am not ashamed to say I like 311.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:32 AM
Marisa Miller is the most beautiful non-Jessica Gomes Swimsuit model alive
April 19th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
So…. where are we at on the commenter draft?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
I would hope we could strive to be better than a 8-year-old.
“Oh yeah…we he did this to me!!”
Having said that, I can’t comprehend what it’s like to be in a war, so I can’t say I’m outraged at the latest fuck up. More like disappointed in the leaders in the military who haven’t stressed the fact that the moment of glory the marine/ranger/whatever feels after posing with the dead body/parts isn’t worth the shit storm that comes on the back end.

April 19th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
so I just listened to the Friday song. I made it through 2:10. I also saw this:
April 19th, 2012 at 9:34 AM
Hell no. They’re not what they used to be, but they’ve made a shitload of kickin songs. I’m going to see them on 7/21.

April 19th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Hell no. They’re not what they used to be, but they’ve made a shitload of kickin songs. I’m going to see them on 7/21.
They are coming to Pittsburgh in August, its $43 for a ticket. I dont think I like them that much.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
I have a cat and a dog and love them both. I would pick dogs if I could only have one, but luckily for me I live in ‘Merica where those choices aren’t an issue.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Chino was skinny, then got super fat, and then got thin again.

First time I saw the strokes, on their first tour, Julian was falling down drunk on stage. He also kept trying to walk off the stage. I was seated kind of on the side, and I could see someone keep pushing him back on stage. Their set lasted about 25 minutes.

Have some caffeine
April 19th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
JESUS that’s steep. Where are they playing? AE? I’m seeing Primus next month for less than that.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
Lawn tickets are $40 here. That’s steep, man.
I got a Fear Factory ticket for like $20 for a May 7 show.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
Miz is actually really skinny. Unless he ballooned up from when I met him.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
That’s worse than saying you like Creed.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
Honestly the reason I never drink caffeine is it doesn’t do anything. I’ve never felt any of the pick-me-up from it so all I get is the negative side effects. Total rip off.
I got a banana and a V8 from the 7 Eleven.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
There’s no better form of live entertainment than a concert. I’ve got an assload of them lined up already.
Best band you’ve seen live?
/Muse
//nods at CRM
April 19th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
@Mole — Yes Stage AE. I want to go to the Laidback Luke concert this weekend just because I want to go to a house\techno\electronic show there.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
I’ll say it again. The Deftones are near the top of the list of bands that I should like more than I do. Others include Chevelle and Lamb of God.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:41 AM
Best live act is a tie between Muse and MMJ. David Byrne is in the conversation, too.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:41 AM
Best band you’ve seen live?
The best? Probably Pearl Jam. The most fun? Zoso, the Led Zepplin cover band.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
But not as bad as splitting sports fan allegiances between Michigan and Ohio franchises and programs.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
Pearl Jam with Springsteen a close second.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
my favorite line from a Tool song:
“Get that Bob Marley wannabe motherfucker outta here”
April 19th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
I’ve yet to go to a show there. I’ve only been to concerts here at the ampitheatre, Carnegie Hall, and Heinz Hall.
Passion Pit is playing CMU’s carnival on Saturday for free though, totally going to that.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
Fuck 311 haters. I’ve seen them a couple times in ATL (they come every summer) and I have a blast each time.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
No, it’s definitely not. This brings up a convo the wifey and I were having the other day. Who is worse? Creed or Nickelback?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
I think the Luther Vandross of rock stars is a better parallel. That son-of-a-bucket would swell and shrink with the best of ‘em.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
Superdiamond… the Neil Diamond cover band.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
Best band live?
Foo Fighters last November.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
Passion Pit is playing CMU’s carnival on Saturday for free though, totally going to that.
Whatttttt???? Do you need to be a student to go? My roommate goes to Tepper, maybe he can swindle me in there.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
Get over it. I’ve explained how it happened before so eat shit.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
Best band is definitely STP.
However I’m not afraid to admit that the best show I ever saw was Weird Al Yankovic.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
I’ve seen them twice. They put on a fun show.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
Best band or best show? I mean I saw the Rolling Stones in 1998 so that’s the best band, but that show fucking sucked. Blues Traveler opened. BLUES TRAVELER.
Best shows?
David Byrne at Carnegie Hall in Pittsburgh on his Everything That Happens Will Happen Today tour. Insane.
Alkaline Trio with Against Me! in Charlotte in 2006.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
Kings of Leon.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
I saw Depeche Mode a few years ago. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
Also, when I saw RATM at lolla. I was off to the side on top of a small hill, looking down on 80,000 people jumping up and down. Such an awesome visual.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
At the Drive-In. In 1999 when they were on crack and put crazy live shows on.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Nah man. Well, it depends. It’s outdoors and open to everyone. HOWEVER if it rains they move it indoors and then students have wristbands and the public doesn’t and if it fills up with students then the public is SOL.
Don’t think I would want to goto an indoor Passion Pit show with a bunch of frat boys though.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
The answer is and always will be Nickelback.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Link?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Eh…to each his own. I saw them in Atlanta last summer and they were great. Played for about 2 hours and sounded wonderful. Then two days later the lead singer walked off of the stage in Dallas due to exhaustion. He probably just hated Texans like everyone else does.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Gotta be Creed, right?
Seeing these guys at Lolla in August. Good show?
It pains me to say that I liked Muse better live because I love the Foos so much.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
I won’t deny that I had a lot of fun at a BNL show back in 2000.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
Oasis at the Fox Theater in Detroit back in 2003 or 2004. Fucking amazing show.
Also, I saw Lenny Kravits in January at the Chicago Theater. I went cuz the wife is a huge fan, but holy shit did he put on an awesome show.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
Don’t think I would want to goto an indoor Passion Pit show with a bunch of frat boys though.
I think I could handle the frat boys at CMU, it isn’t exactly brotastic.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
Yeah, they put on a good show. Especially in that environment.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
Tie between REM and Oingo Boingo.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
April 19th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
I bet that was freakin insane. It’s a good thing you had the birdseye view. You might not be here today if you were in the middle of that.
The singer of a small town band I used to watch in high school lost his brother in a mosh pit at a Rage concert. He talked about it one time before they were about to perform a song dedicated to the brother. The singer started crying halfway through it and they had to stop playing.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
STP on Halloween night a few years back was awesome. Robert DeLeo looked like one of the Smiths from The Matrix, not sure about Kretz, Dean look normal, and Weiland was dressed up like Clint Eastwood in one of his old western movies.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
RHCP and U2.
Saw them at MSG a year and a half ago. It was a very good show.

Community college brawl involving a woman who brought her small child to school. Perhaps this is why people are willing to face a lifetime of debt for a private school education.
I go to that community college and this is the first I’m seeing this. Fucking assholes. The whole goddamn lot of ‘em. Woman drops her fucking kid to get engaged and then uses the whole, “Oh, you gonna hit me in front of my kid” horseshit? Higher learning my ass. The fuck are all those clownshoes studying at STLCC?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
Yeah, I wasn’t about to get in the middle of that.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
I would love to see him in concert. if it is even remotely close to “stop making sense” it would be entertaining as hell.
I saw 311 3 or 4 times back in the day and they put on a great show. not sure how they are now, I’m not a fan of any of the new stuff they put out in the past 10 years, but there first 2 or 3 albums were the shit.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
Other noteables:
-I saw Muse open up for RHCP before they got “big”, and they sucked. Like really really sucked. People were booing them. They were so bad, that they became a running joke with my friends. Then they got popular a few years later, and we were all mystified.
-I saw Powerman 5000 open up for Ra twice in one week. Ra was good, but Powerman stole the show both times. Spyder kicks ass.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
Rage Against the Machine at Alpine Valley after a monsoon was the worst concert I’ve ever gone to. Ever ever ever. I’m sure my personality flaw of hating 90% of all people had something to do with that, but it still sucked.
Most fun concert was seeing Peaches at the Vic in 08 or 09, I think. I’ll never forget hearing Tent in Your Pants for the first time. Such an awesome song.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
Grizz here’s the info.
I actually went to a fashion show at the gym that it’s in if it rains last weekend. That’s not a big place.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
Didn’t RATM have to stop the Lolla concert multiple times because the crowd was getting too dangerous?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
There’s a “Killing in the Name” joke to be made here, right?
/too soon’d
April 19th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
is that blank line after Janoris Jenkins open so he has a place to keep his kids?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
So he took off the scarf and the sunglasses and went with his normal attire.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Best band you’ve seen live?
Drive By Truckers.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Best band you’ve seen live?
I’ve got this broken down into categories (because I’m that kind of asshole):
Best concert: RHCP and Foo Fighters. (Right after Californication came out)
Best show: Paul McCartney (Played for 2.5 hours and that fat drummer he had was murdering his kit the whole time)
April 19th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
I’m sure the framers of the Freedom of Information Act had college football coach investigations in mind when they drafted it up.
I doubt making a recreational sport coach the highest paid state employee was an idea years ago as well for lawmakers. Petrino can make those texts on a personal phone. He has a school-provided cell to help them control recruiting, etc.
There is NOTHING wrong with the FOIA requests (gross misuse of state funds/property) and everything wrong with his choices. FOIA is one of the most important acts that help our society and free press.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
His energy is ridiculous. He has backup dancers that are really talented. On the tour I saw everyone was wearing white tshirts and white pants and there was fantastic choreography. If he ever tours near you it is definitely worth it.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
#11 of Worst uniforms was the sonics? I guess I am weird because I liked those uniforms.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
I saw Rebecca Black at the Albany Mall, best show evar.

No Trent Richardson, but Doug Martin is in the top 30? Interesting…
April 19th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
INSANE ass on the bassist.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
This.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
I just saw Noel Gallagher at the Vic a few weeks ago. That was fucking awesome, obviously. I think I’ve gone to 5 concerts in the last month. My ears need a rest.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
Similar experience here, but it was with Incubus before they got big. It was during their Science days and just before Make Yourself; like Ozzfest 1999 or something. They sounded like colossal shit and were booed.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
Yes, Zach had to tell the crowd to settle down at least a half dozen times.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
Best band you’ve seen live?
Deftones. Hands down.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
That makes me laugh. I remember the first time I heard Fuck The Pain Away…..hilarious.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
A kind of trashy girl I’m FB friensd with posted a status of somethign to the effect of “OMG!!! BEST Sister EVER!!!! Suprised me on my birthday with NICKLEBACK TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!” It took alot for me to not comment, then I just blocked her from my news feed.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
She is the tits. By far, one the best models to grace the cover of SI swimsuit edition. Another reason to enjoy her, here , here and here.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
look, I didn’t get the memo about the existence of Rebecca Black. and now we’re hating on Blues Traveler? is the fax machine in the TBL learning annex down?
April 19th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
INSANE ass on the bassist.
She left the band a few months ago.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
OHHH! Well, this was at least 12 years ago. So not too soon.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
Some bands have off days. The sound guys could not do a good job, or they are really high, or whatever.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
I saw them open up for Tom Petty a year or two ago. They were really really good live.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
Listen Blues Traveler is fine. But opening for the Stones on 70k seater tour? Fuck no.
And my interest in DBT dies.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
And since I feel like straight up bragging right now because my hair looks like shit today, sitting on stage for Foo Fighters, Weezer and Tenacious D a bunch of times was pretty sweet. It was also sweet when Jack Black dedicated a song to me.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
Nickelback sucks but i will say the guy can sing in tune unlike scott stapp
April 19th, 2012 at 9:57 AM

April 19th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
Saw U2 at Three Rivers Stadium in ’87 for the Joshua Tree tour. Great concert, Larry Mullen Jr brought a kid up on stage to play drums for a song. Lucky sonabitch.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
And my interest in DBT dies.
Lol. They’re fucking awesome, my favorite band. Seeing them saturday night.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
I saw Weezer at The Tabernacle a few years back and loved it. Rivers Cuomo is an odd bird, though.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
She’s a groupie.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
I saw Drive By Truckers in Asheville with a group of my friends who were five years younger than me, it was one friend’s 21st birthday and before the show he pulled about a gram and a half of blow formed into a 21 on a hotel-room desk. Fun night.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
How the fuck did you score that?
Saw The Naked and Famous Tuesday night. Was pretty entertaining.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:59 AM
Her songs are crazy. Her costumes are crazy. Her performance is crazy. I love her.
“Suckin on my titties like you wanted me, calling me all of the time…”
April 19th, 2012 at 9:59 AM
They goofed and left Richardson out. He’s #3 with a 9.76 rating.
April 19th, 2012 at 9:59 AM
Cpl others have said it already, but no effin way should the 80s Nuggets be on that list…those unis are classic.
I would have nominated the late 90s Pistons unis with the flaming horse, and the current travesty that is the Denver Broncos.

Stapp Speak from Urban Dictionary. Lolling over here…
April 19th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
Talk about a pitch just lobbed to you to hit….and still, so many of us missed it. +1
April 19th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
Knew a guy who was the guitar tech for Jack Black and, later, Dave Grohl. Hung out with Jack a bunch of times whenever he was in Chicago. Then he started doing mostly movies and got married and stopped calling me. And before you make all of your unoriginal sex jokes, we never hooked up. We were just friends.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Holy shit that’s spot on
April 19th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Senior year of high school I saw Jimmy Eat World open for Green Day and Blink 182 (fuck all of you, I guarantee 99% of you my age would have gone to that show in 2002 as well) and Green Day did the thing where they brought people up to play each instrument, was pretty cool.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
WHOA, scripty. somebody piss in your alpha bits this morning? my comment was made in jest.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Pearl Jam in the Riot Act tour was probably the best show, as they owned a huge venue and had something to prove as it was a mini comeback for them.
Van Halen on the Balance tour was really the last of the great Van Hagar era shows. They all got old and washed up after that.
The Killers were great both times I’ve seen them but they only play 90 minutes.
Silversun Pickups were maybe the most fun I’ve had, it was a 500 person venue though, so that’s much different than a arena show, etc and it was before they broke out, so the ticket was like $13.
Price of ticket and expectations impact show perception.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
Nope, the Road. “I met a tasty baby in Michigan.”
April 19th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
Shit, I’d see that show now. Except for Blink. Not a fan.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
DBT + Lucero equals drunkest, coked-up crowd I have ever been a part of…and I loved every minute of it.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
Petrino pretty much just wrote the book on “How to fuck up your cushy life when you have a state by the short hairs” in about 2 weeks.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
I like them, they’re gitchy.
Saw the very first and last show of their Elevation Tour. The last show was in Miami at the AAA and it was December after 9/11. They performed the same part of the show they did at SB 36 with the names on the screens and Bono with the American Flag lining in his jacket. They played for well over 2 hours, it was amazing.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Ok. I was thinking they were borderline retarded for a second.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Oh man I forgot.
Saw Dresden Dolls in 2003 back when they still existed and were unknown (year or two before opening for NiN I think). I was a DJ at our college station and we brought them in for a show at this little club. It was fucking insane, so talented and so so so insane. So I got to drink with and eye fuck Neil Gaiman’s future wife, so that was fun.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:05 AM
No fuck yous necessary. I saw the same concert. It was probably the same tour. I think it was between my junior and senior year or after I graduated.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:06 AM
I’d go to that show now.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:06 AM
robert randolph and the family band or iron maiden (multiple times).
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
One of the more underrated shows I saw was Kid Cudi. Dude is solid on stage.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
That was awesome when they did that at the halftime show. Just awesome. It’s cool you got to see it re-done live.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Me too. Green Day also brought people up on stage at my show. It was awesome.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
sorry miz. jacked up on coffee and commenter draft
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
fuck all of you, I guarantee 99% of you my age would have gone to that show in 2002 as well)
I slaced a 25 foot fence to break into that show. It was really fun.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
sounds like a challenge to come up with some original sex jokes, fellas. I’ll start:
did he tenacious you with his D?
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Different strokes. I’d be front row for that concert.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
I went to the same high school as Jimmy Eat World. I saw them about 30 times when they were a local band. Good stuff.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Maynard stood behind this screen and his silhouette was the only thing you saw of him for the ENTIRE SHOW. He was bald and in underwear
my brother saw them in houston, and he said the exact same thing about maynard.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
is it the same Lucero with the lead singer that sounds like he smokes a carton of cigs a day and every song sounds like it should be played at a funeral?
April 19th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
zappa plays zappa was another memorable show…fun as shit.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
I liked the album Futures. That’s a band that for some reason seems to be mismanaged. They don’t slot easily in either alternative or hard rock, so that big gray void and cant gain traction.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
I’m not sure what “slaced” is so I’m going to assume you navigated the fence using a lightsaber.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
Entering the final ten picks of the Commenter Mock Draft.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
aw yea…jt barrett committed to ohio state.

April 19th, 2012 at 10:11 AM
I was expecting a lot more people hating on that show. Yeah it was pretty awesome, Green Day was better though.
Saves The Day opening for Weezer might have been the best all around show I saw. Weezer was my favorite band at the time and Saves The Day was the shit before their singer destroyed his vocal chords.
Saw it at the old hockey arena in Charlotte. We picked up floor slabs to surf people around on and exposed the ice. That did NOT end well. I lost my shoes and glasses at that show. Someone through my shoes on stage during Buddy Holly and they were right next to Rivers the whole fucking time, dickhead security guard would give them back to me afterward. Ended up costing me like 400 bucks in the end.

Yep, that’s a pretty good description of Ben Nichols. Sooo effing good live.

Saw Iron Maiden as opening act with Scorpions the headliners back in my high school days. This was before Maiden got big in the US. Amazing effects for the time and the 20 foot tall EDDIE walking on stage at the end was fantastic. Scorpions were solid too that night.

I’m currently tumbling down the rabbithole of Powerman 5000 videos on youtube.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:12 AM
oh shit, i bet that show was fucking great.

I’ve grown less and less into recruiting until the season starts. I just assume there will be some attrition (even though UGA has a decent record with not having an issue there…unlike Nebraska). Once the season starts I get into it more. I did notice that Michigan is killing it so far, though. UM and OSU are going to just own the fuck out of the B10.

I’m not sure what “slaced” is so I’m going to assume you navigated the fence using a lightsaber.
*Scaled — at this venue in Pittsburgh there was a high fence that ran parallel to the stage\crowd. We went were walking in ready to buy tickets and decided it would be a good idea to climb the fence and get in. I don’t know how we didn’t get caught, but we walked in and mixed with the crowd and no one ever saw us.

that’s some spensive shoes, man.
I’m envious…I’d love to see Weezer.

Clarity and Futures are 1a/1b for me. Both extremely strong albums.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:15 AM
Spencer it was great. IM played like 90 minutes, Scorpions 2 hrs. I think this was in ’82 or ’83. I think right before Powerslave came out.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:15 AM
Shoes were like a hundred I think, Brooks Beasts, best athletic shoe ever made yo. Glasses were the bitch of it. My mom was like fuck you, you’re paying for them.

Grizz was it at Burgettsville? Saw so many people gatecrash for Phish there it was ridiculous.
Just found out I have two extra Phish tickets for June to sell, too.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:16 AM
on one hand, i remain objectively skeptical of michigan’s improvement but on the other, i hope the quoted comment comes true just because it’s so much fun when the rivalry means something.

Spencer: You see where Vandy (VANDY!!) has the number two duel threat QB committed? Now, I assume he’ll flip at some point to someone else, but…damn. I seriously think I’d look at Franklin if I were Arkansas, but it appears as though they’re going to hire someone before the season.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
No, it was part of their show before the SB. SHow I saw was in Dec of 11, SB 36 was in Feb of 12. But nevertheless, it was awesome.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
husker…yea, i saw that just a second ago. wtf? if franklin can turn vandy into a team that can win 7-games despite being in the SEC, he should be on the top of every major coaching search in the country.
itd be great if tennessee hired him to replace dooley too. HILARIOUS.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
ve ah ze scorpions, ya. both bands in their primes…must’ve been a fucking supernova.

No, I’ve never snuck in there — it was the then “IC Light Ampitheatre” in Station Square. It is set up a little better now to keep hooligans out.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
When I die at least I know I die without having ever tasted IC Light Mango.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
I couldn’t hear for days after.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:23 AM
it would be neither great nor hilarious.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
This.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
A dueling QB sounds pretty cool. Does he duel with pistols or swords?
April 19th, 2012 at 10:26 AM
banjos.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
if Arkansas hires a coach this year, I think it will only be a 1 year/temporary deal, for now at least. I would be all for them going after Franklin after the season though.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
he’s committed to Vandy. therefore, his dueling is limited to peen duels in the showers.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:28 AM

they duel with infected breasts
April 19th, 2012 at 10:28 AM

April 19th, 2012 at 10:28 AM
Obviously, Vandy is in Tennessee afterall.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:28 AM
not sure if it is true or not, but I read somewhere yesterday that there was a ranking of SEC coaches and Arkansas was 11th, (without a coach) ahead of Tennessee. now THAT is hilarious.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:30 AM
this is what happens when you lose to kentucky for the first time in 82 years.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:30 AM
Green day
you will be hard pressed to find a shittier band than them.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:31 AM
Yeah…I’m losing faith in Pelini as a head coach. I love him as a DC, but this year is the one that will tell me if I should cut bait and hope for another coach or not. I’m afraid he has poor skills when it comes to hiring a competent offensive staff as he chooses “his guys” even though they suck.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:31 AM
Does he duel with pistols or swords?
banjos.
They swig moonshine in a face-off, like that Tibetan bar in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
April 19th, 2012 at 10:32 AM
Dude…you’d get over it the second he started winning at Tenn. Franklin is a good coach and that man can recruit. Some school is going to hit the jackpot with him.
/thinks about Maryland pushing him out for Edsall
//cackles
Holy shit that’s awesome.
