Geno retired?

My father-in-law worries me re Alzheimer’s. His mother had it and there are times when I can see him going down that road. What a terrible, terrible disease.
April 18th, 2012 at 2:48 PM
There is no Geno without Pat. She’s amazing.
April 18th, 2012 at 2:49 PM

No, the Greatest of All Time did.

The worst part about alzheimers is that your partner won’t just kill you. They’ll wipe your ass, because they can’t bring themselves to just kill you. Everybody loses.

Same here, and it’s fucking terrible.

There’s something strangely poetic and insightful about this.

My grandfather died fighting that disease. The worst part is the way some hospitals/facilities treat Alzheimers patients. Absolutely no dignity whatsoever.

You know, she has forgotten more about basketball than I’ll ever know.

One of my favorite coaches in any sport. .841 winning pct.

The only plus for her is she won’t have to remember all the bad woman’s basketball she had to watch for 40 years.

Geno Auriemma is currently winning at a better clip (.862 to .841) and still has to play NINE MORE SEASONS at 33 wins/season to pass Pat. He’s 58 now and would have to coach through his 67th birthday to pass her. He is a big enough prick to hang on until he does it, right?

As classy as they come, at any level. Let’s hope Geno doesn’t try to stick around to top her numbers because he is a giant prick.
