Jessica Dorrell “Resigned” Her Position from the University of Arkansas and Got a $14,000 Settlement

Jessica Dorrell resigned from her post in the University of Arkansas athletic department – the position handed to her by former coach Bobby Petrino – according to the school. The school also said she was given a $14,000 settlement.

And that about wraps up L’Affaire Petrino. What a wild three week thrill ride that was. And to think, all of this sprang from a gust of wind that knocked Petrino off his motorcycle.

Now, we wait for Dorrell to tell her story to Good Morning America, or Petrino to weep on ESPN while being interviewed by Tom Rinaldi.

Why on earth would she do that? The “I am a whore who cheated on my fiancée with a married man while getting a 5 figure cash payment and a cushy job by fucking my way into it” doesn’t really get much sympathy from the housewives who watch that show

Play out a sexual harrassment lawsuit – there’s no way the school settles, unless it’s for peanuts. They’ll get her in a deposition and get all the juicy details or each time she gave Petrino a hummer. It’s not something she’ll want to deal with. She’ll end up resigning with a bit of a severance (3 months?).

@Jason Lisk: I figured that a numbers obsessed person would know that 14K is less than 20K.
Regardless, she got very little considering she now has a permanently sullied reputation, lost a fiance, lost a job and will likely be persona non grata at her alma mater for a long, long time which will certainly not help her network and get a new job. All she got for giving a handie to the coach on a motorcycle is 34K.

That totally reads “she’s going to get an additional $20,001 or more to walk away”… sorry Jason.
Otherwise you are basically counting that $20k as part of the settlement, when it was really just money for sex.
