All, Recruiting April 17th. 2012, 12:05pm
Eric Gordon’s got a brother in the 8th grade named Eron, and he’s already 6-foot-1. Indiana coach Tom Crean has already offered Eron a scholarship. Eron is “unofficially” visiting Purdue Wednesday. According to the Indianapolis Star:
Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Xavier and Wisconsin have also started to recruit Gordon.
Reminder: Eron Gordon hasn’t completed 8th grade and the Big Ten is drooling. [Star]

Virtually the entire Atlantic 10 is all over this kid.
April 17th, 2012 at 12:19 PM
Virtually every one of the Gordon brothers is under six feet tall.

I hear the Pac12 is actually salivating.
April 17th, 2012 at 12:21 PM
Is this a move to get him to sign with the Pacers this offseason? Draw your own conclusions.

6’1″ isn’t that tall for an 8th grader.
April 17th, 2012 at 12:23 PM
I was 4’10″.

That’s virtually the dumbest thing said on here today.

Completely unrelated to this post, but this may be one of the most glorious photos ever and the story is rather hilarious as well (not the bombing threats, the transgendered couple aspect).
They played their interview on the radio this morning, and they both speak with fake Scottish/Irish accents.

I’m surprised this story has not gotten more national attention (not the threats, these people) that picture is FANTASTIC.

I was 6’1″ in 8th grade too. Unfortunately, I only grew another inch. Just because the dude is 6’1″ in 8th grade doesn’t mean he is going to keep growing. If any recruiter is projecting him to be any bigger than his brother he is taking quite the gamble.

how so?

Oh my…

Tom Crean knows if he keeps in state talent in state, he will have a good program. 6’1″ in eight grade playing guard and can dunk. That is pretty good.
April 17th, 2012 at 12:35 PM
You grew a lot in high school I take it?
April 17th, 2012 at 12:37 PM
When I first read that, I assumed based on the picture that the Katherine “lady” was transgendered. Turns out it was the Seamus “guy” that is transgendered.
April 17th, 2012 at 12:37 PM
Robert Knight offered a scholarship to Damon Bailey in 8th grade.

Seamus has horrible taste. HOLY SHIT.

Both are transgendered.

Dumb question, but if he accepts, and doesn’t run afoul of the law or academic standards, is he now guaranteed four years as long as he plays, even if he gets worse at basketball or doesn’t grow anymore?
April 17th, 2012 at 12:44 PM
wait…so they just wanted to switch it up?
April 17th, 2012 at 12:44 PM
So it’s a girl and a guy dating. What’s the big deal about that? Like a gay guy and a lesbian hooking up… perfectly natural.
April 17th, 2012 at 12:45 PM
I only saw reference to Seamus, my bad.
April 17th, 2012 at 12:46 PM
mre nailed it. She looks like a retarded Steven Wright.

I can’t take credit for this, but the best I heard was “Scott Hartnell’s aunt”.
April 17th, 2012 at 12:52 PM
That is awesome.
April 17th, 2012 at 10:20 PM
Eric never graduated from 8th grade either.
