Tank on, Warriors.

There was absolutely no tank in the Warriors last nite, they actually played their asses off, cut the lead to 3 mid-4th quarter before Dirk took over. Guess tanking is what fits the narrative, though.

Rip will be fine. He’s getting into game shape. The Bulls biggest issue is playing through Rose’s ball stopping ways.

If he is making shots, you can live with the lack of defense.

I love my professional basketball coach. He just does what he has to in order to win. No favorites on this team.

If ( big if) Rip can be healthy and provide a punch it’s a huge help. He spaces the floor so much and gives them a 3rd scoring guard in that first unit. Or, Korver needs to shoot like he did last night. Nobody talks about it, but he was 3-12 in the 4 playoff losses to the Heat. If he is making shots, you can live with the lack of defense.

It’s also interesting how JMac’s “Warriors making a run for playoffs” narrative careened off the rails about a week after he started pushing it. Take it from a Warriors fan – every year is the same.

Still trying to figure out what’s more remarkable-that Thibs rode CJ or admitted afterward he used the MVP to give CJ a rest. And it worked.

It makes more sense, but Rip is quite prideful and has been known to tell a coach off or halfass it when he feels insulted by a changed role. If he buys into what Thibs is saying, then it’s all good. You’d think a veteran who’s had a TON of team success in his career would be fine with this.

It’s sort of obvious, but Rip’s game really requires his legs are strong. All that running off screens and mid-range jumpers is only good if his legs are strong. They haven’t been this year.

I think it’s mostly because that 2nd unit has Korver and Watson on it. Those two guys like to shoot. Watson can distribute well though, I would like to see Rip play with him on that 2nd unit.

I love Ronnie Brewer’s game. He has really added some finishing touch around the rim this year. His jumper is ugly to look at but occasionally you get the night where things are falling for him. My favorite player on the Bench Mob remains Taj Gibson.
