Here’s Video of Shea Weber Slamming Henrik Zetterberg’s Head Into the Boards
The Nashville Predators beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 at home in the first game of their opening round playoff series. Though, it was marred by an incident in the closing seconds. The Predators’ Shea Weber punched Henrik Zetterberg in the back of the head and then slammed him face first into the boards. This was like WWE, except real and painful. Weber should miss multiple games, probably for his own safety.

1 game suspension at least. Really frustrating game. Officiating was awful all game. For both teams. But the Wings did get screwed more often than the Preds. Renne was outstanding and the Preds got 2 flukey goals and all the puck luck was with them. Looks like Helm is out for the playoffs too. Fuck. 2 least penalized teams in the league. Then the officials call it like this. Garbage.

any report on Z’s health? if he’s out for a bit with scrambled head, how is that trade, weber for Z?

Should have nothing to do with Z’s health. That’s an incredibly dirty play. Targeted the head with intent to hurt. No place in the game for that.

Another gif. A disgusting act.

vladdy i meant is Z hurt? has there been a report? and who wins that trade, if weber and Z are out?

Can’t imagine this would be only one game. He deserves at least a couple.
April 11th, 2012 at 11:40 PM
No word yet. And it would be a win for the Preds if Z is out since it looks like Helm is out as well.

Looked kinda mild to me, but the intent was there

Terrible night for the league office tonight. Linesmen totally mess up an icing and offside that lead to two goals in Pens/Flyers. Refs make a mockery of Preds/Wings, Babcock calls them out (during the game), Weber smashes Zetterberg into the turnbuckle, and a 5 min major/game misconduct for Byron Bitz that needs to be reviewed in Kings/Canucks.
Oh and the darling Penguins lost. Sad night tonight for the Bettmans

Intern slacking already?
Duffy is only an intern? I’ve been far too nice to him all these years.

Watched this a couple more times this morning. I’d like to see him suspended for 1 game, but have a sneaking suspicion he won’t miss any time.
