If Petrino tell the truth from the jump, he still has a job, right? Or was the hiring of the mistress too much to overcome regardless? Even though he was an asshole, I think he was a damn good coach. Sucks you have to fire him over these shenanigans.

Dear Arkansas,
Welcome back. I’ve missed you.
Sincerely,
Mediocrity

I don’t know, honestly. Always follow the money and in this case the money from football revenue balanced against potential lawsuit exposure. I’m sure not trusting him to tell truth played a role though.

I meant to say it sucks that a damn good football coach has to be such a dumb ass idiot.
April 10th, 2012 at 7:26 PM
I wonder if lil’ missy stays by his side, or does she bail on the coach and go back to her fiance?
Aaaaand, I wonder when Petrinos’ wife files for D-I-V-O-R-C-E?

Come to Illinois! At least he didn’t ignore kids getting fucked.
April 10th, 2012 at 7:28 PM
Have all the jumpoff jokes been taken? Because I want to make a Jessica Dorrell as a jumpoff joke, but not a repeat.
April 10th, 2012 at 7:29 PM
Or does her fiance even give her the option? With Arkansas letting Petrino go, I think that messes her chance up of a getting a big settlement.
April 10th, 2012 at 7:31 PM
This seems to be justified.
The season finale of Justified is two and a half hours a way.

If I was the other guy, I would say “hell no”. I think little Jessica bet on the wrong horse in this case.

Or does her fiance even give her the option?
Hell if I would. Fuck that bitch.

Really surprised. Thought it was a lock he would stick. I’m guessing there’s a lot more to this story that hasn’t come out yet.

Anyone having problems viewing this site? For the past few days the pictures don’t load and it looks like a 1990s website. I tried Chorme, Firefox, IE, delete cookies, etc. Here’s a screenshot: http://imm.io/lKFZ

I am very interested if they looked into Petrino’s relationship with Dorrell prior to her being hired. From me just guessing based on Petrino’s words at the presser, I think that the biggest situation after lying to them about the girl is that she probably got the job because she was giving up the Punany to Petrino.
“The only true god is what lies between a women’s legs.”

“Problems loading this site? First anyone has mentioned that!”

Just kidding. No problems for me on an iPad.

Color me stunned. There just HAS to be more to this. Otherwise Jeff Long just assured he won’t last much longer in Arky.
April 10th, 2012 at 7:47 PM
So you’re stunned that an employee got fired for lying to his employer? Welcome to the real world where that is what happens all the damn time.

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but I would guess that a high-profile married guy riding a bike with the hot 25 y/o blond he’s having an affair with would wear a helmet to hide his face. Especially in a town where everyone would recognize him. Brazen and dumb.

“So now, less than five months later, you can go up on a steep hill in Little Rock and look northwest, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark—that place where the wave finally broke and Arkansas football rolled back.”

O.P.P. will get you every time.
April 10th, 2012 at 7:56 PM
There just HAS to be more to this.
Oh, there is. That dude that brought down Miami is in Fayettenam right now.

Bobby was being chivalrous. He let her wear his helmet. After giving her his other helmet 20 miles outside of town at a donor’s cabin.
I’m just going to keep throwing shit against a wall. I may choose a different wall next time.

Good for Arkansas. Jerry Jones will find someone to take over who is just as competent.

Since when does big-time college athletics resemble the real world in any way whatsoever?
April 10th, 2012 at 8:10 PM
What a fucking scumbag. He was a scumbag when he left the Falcons and he is bigger scumbag now.
April 10th, 2012 at 8:14 PM
Who knows, maybe him & his wife were double-dipping
Well I, uh, I’m not sure how you pronounce it or anything, but I, uh, I believe it’s Ménage à Trois?

that picture of him in the neck brace is fucking hysterical.
April 10th, 2012 at 8:21 PM
wouldn’t mind osu hiring him as a qb coach/recruiter…
April 10th, 2012 at 8:26 PM
Im still debating which is funnier: that or Tressel running from the cops in the tunnel.
I hate Urb, but he’d get a lot more respect in the “I Really don’t give one flying fuck what you people think. I’m Urban fucking Meyer. I was named after a pope. I do what the fuck I want, when I want, and win goddamn football games” department.
April 10th, 2012 at 8:27 PM
Good point. It’s not often we see a big time college make an ethically responsible decision.
April 10th, 2012 at 8:33 PM
Enjoy Brian Kelly
April 10th, 2012 at 8:37 PM
Sigh.
April 10th, 2012 at 8:43 PM
I wonder if Brian Kelly runs the power company in my town. It was so windy the past two days but guys were still repairing power lines up in bucket trucks.

Looks like the page’s CSS files aren’t loading. I see that happen here every so often, usually when my bandwidth, or the server load, hits a trickle.

Will she get him season tickets on the 50? That would do a lot of healing.
