I heard the story this morning and they said the cops had their guns drawn but at their sides, not pointed at Hunter. If that’s the case, it seems reasonable since they were going to the house on an alleged B&E.

There’s no need to draw on anyone unless someone is resisting, not complying with orders, or acting as if they have a weapon. And I’m supposed to believe that Hunter was acting like that?

I’d agree but we’d have to know this PD’s policy on responding to a potential B&E.

In this day and age, I am stunned that it wasn’t common knowledge on the police force that Hunter lived there. In most American communities, I get the impression the cops are well aware if a famous/notorious person lives in a certain area.

Geraldo is reporting Hunter was wearing a hoodie, which set off the alarm when he put the hood up.

Certainly not black and white. takes real strenuous detective work to realize that the guy who approaches to find out what you are doing on his property is legit…Bet he had on camouflage and maybe a hoodie. Probably had his steel toe hikers on. A jacket concealing a weapon. Hey man, they were really taking a chance being outmanned 1 man no weapon, to 2 men with firearms.
