Mikel Leshoure Has Been Cited for Marijuana Possession For Second Time In Two Months

Detroit running back Mikel Leshoure has more marijuana arrests while a member of the Detroit Lions than games played. WXYZ is reporting that Leshoure was cited in Berrien County on March 12th, less than a month after he was cited in Benson Township and plead guilty to a reduced charge.

Leshoure was Detroit’s second round pick in 2011 out of Illinois. He was supposed to play a large role as the bigger back in a platoon with Jahvid Best, but tore his Achilles’ tendon during training camp last year. With two incidents in two months, he is now likely to be meeting with Roger Goodell. The Lions’ running back situation was a shambles last year by mid-season, and with Jahvid Best’s concussion history and Leshoure’s injury plus his legal issues, they may have to address the position in April.

you don’t have to legalize it, but can we at least decriminalize marijuana possession and stop testing pro athletes for it?
And can I just smoke a doob every once in a while? I”m having to drink whiskey now. I can’t stand whiskey.

I’ve been working my way down to whiskey from lots of sweet drinks. I really don’t like drinking at all, but I need some relief from my life.
My head usually hurts in the morning. I’m made it down to whiskey and ice. I doubt I’ll ever make it to anything neat (or bourbon. yuck)

Isn’t it pretty much decriminalized where you are? IIRC, some of the highest weed use rates are right around where you are.

it doesn’t matter. My wife isn’t letting me have the weed in the house. Plus, I’m totally clean like 14 years now.

It’s crazy how easy it is to get a card in the state of Michigan, c’mon son. But I guess what with all the shops getting closed down by the Federales, it might feel like there’s less incentive to. But I definitely would if I got caught once.

Shops? Who uses shops when you can grow up to 12 plants on your own with the card? But, from what I’ve “heard,” there are definitely still shops fully functioning in Michigan…especially in Ann Arbor.
I’ve also “heard” the process of getting a card in Michigan is super annoying/difficult but manageable if you a) really want/need to be legal while carrying around a bunch of bud and b) have a qualifying condition with up-to-date medical records. That repaired Achilles probably causes chronic pain, right – Mikel?
