Stephon Marbury Got Emotional – Then Tossed in the Air – After Beijing Won the CBA Championship
Finally, Stephon Marbury is a champion. Let it all out, Starbury.
For a guy whose NBA career began so brilliantly but ended up a disappointment – No. 4 pick overall, 13 seasons, five teams, five playoff appearances, only beyond the first round once (when he was a benchwarmer in Boston) – we couldn’t be happier for the eccentric malcontent.
Just for kicks, here’s a list of players who were taken in the 1996 draft with Marbury, but are still having some type of impact in the NBA: Marcus Camby (2nd), Ray Allen (5th), Kobe Bryant (13th), Steve Nash (15th), and Derek Fisher (24th). Marbury last played in the League in 2009.
Speaking of the ’96 draft, can you remember a top six with more crazy than Iverson, Marbury and Antonie Walker?

Marbury & KG were a fun tandem to watch back on the T’Wolves in the late 90s.

I wonder how much of that he’s got left.

Come on now, Walker is still having an impact with The D-League.
Marbury/KG combo was very good those first couple of years. It’s a shame Starbury wanted the bright lights versus winning at Minnesota.

Walker was having an impact in the NBDL, until this happened last weekend…
Antoine Walker has been cut by a D-League team for personal reasons for the second time in his career.
