Given that he’s a legitimate football coach with a coaching resume, there should be no issue. There was no issue when Frank Beamer hired his son Shane at Virginia Tech, and there should be no issue here. If this hiring violates Iowa’s policy (or if Ferentz and the athletic department have to construct plausible deniability out of whole cloth), then the policy needs to be revisited.
