I’ve read the last few articles you wrote about college basketball and i’m starting to realize you don’t know shit about basketball. Mason and Miles Plumlee are future NBA players? Did you watch them this year? I’m the biggest Duke fan and I don’t think they’ll be in the NBA in a year. Maybe make a team, but play? The Big East, the Big 12 and the Big 10? Is that in opposite order? The Big East is overrated every year and just because they get all 16 teams in the tourney doesn’t make them good. The Big Ten was by far the best conference. Stick with what you know which is knowing which girls date athletes. Those are the only entertaining stories on this site.

If you are going to vote for such a prestigious award, you should care. This guy obviously doesn’t. It is an award for the five best players, not by position, and not using an MVP standard. To leave Davis off is ignorant.

I watched Davis play in over half of his games this year, and while he is beastly, he strikes me as having a ways to go. He disappears when a grown man is playing D, has no post moves, and gets most of his points on lobs and putbacks. His defense is awesome to behold, but at the next level, I have a feeling he will disappoint for a few years. That said, Reid and Mansch are morons for not voting him 1st team AA.

Is All-American an MVP award? If not, the “take X player out and see what his team would do” argument holds no water.

Not sure there’s a true definition either way. I’m not saying I would have voted that way, although, you could argue life is made much easier for a player based on his supporting cast

If we’re going to use early-season OOC games, why not mention that Davis had 14-6-7 against Kansas, 7-9-2 against UNC, and 6-9-3 against Indiana?

They didn’t play Kansas either.

I know I say this a lot, but this is the most TBL post ever.

They played Duke and UNC.

MSU and Kentucky have played I think six times in the last thirty years and not once since 2003 I think.

on a smaller scale, when i had to pick all-area teams, my own main rule was to be able to explain a tough choice if someone challenged it, and those types of arguments are not usually won with stats comparisons
