Kendra Wilkinson … in the future, drones will bring you tacos … Sierra Nevada is coming East … here comes a higher grade of marijuana … the boombox was the fasted-adopted gadget of the last 50 years … as disturbing a story as you’ll find today … can I interest you in a GIF from the season premiere of Mad Men? … “Woman demanding care at hospital is arrested for trespassing, dies in jail” … employers want Facebook passwords now? … the grandson of basketball’s inventor died at 73 … Melanie Iglesias seems nice … some woman broke into Simon Cowell’s house while he was home …

I thought Bert Sugar was in his late 80′s or early 90′s. Jarring.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:12 AM
Anyone from TBL covering the Tebow presser?
March 26th, 2012 at 8:13 AM
No love for the Frozen Four? If you have ESPN U watch it.
GO UNION!
March 26th, 2012 at 8:20 AM
in the future, drones will bring you tacos
You think we as a nation are obese now? Jim Gaffigan was right – we wanna eat, but we are just about too lazy to actually go get the food.
Not sure why anyone would do the Cinnamon challenge, but this Grandma tried, and watch what happens to her dentures.
Granny should cover herself up. Who does she think she is, Kendra Wilkinson? After seeing the still pic, I didn’t dare start the video.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:20 AM
Syracuse was lucky to get as far as it did. That team is a 3 seed at best without Melo.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:21 AM
Good for Tiger! Also glad Arnie is okay.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:22 AM
Feeling pretty good with 3/4 of the F4 teams and my Championship is still alive.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:22 AM
Tiger played great yesterday on a good Augusta preview course. Those greens weren’t stimping 14 but they weren’t holding very much, either.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
as disturbing a story as you’ll find today
Always hate to hear about innocent folk being murdered. This sucks.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:25 AM
Sierra Nevada isn’t that great.
/beersnobbed
March 26th, 2012 at 8:25 AM
Roger Sterling remains King Of The One Liners. Megan Draper has outstanding legs and is a welcome addition as the Sex Kitten, Pete looks like he is going to be an even larger jerk this year and I am so happy Betty was not once shown in the two hours.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:26 AM
I thought the roundup woman was looking old!
March 26th, 2012 at 8:27 AM
At first there was unmanned tacocopters and it was good. But as the sky filled with McBlimps, Wendy’s Diribles and Thai Fighter Jets the airways became violent in what is called The Lazy Fastass Tech War of 2012. In their arms race the machines reached sentience and turned on their greasy handed overlords destroying insulin factories. When people ordered food it would come with a side of massacre. We are unsure if it was us or them who nuked the sky..

Their Torpedo IPA is actually pretty good.
BTW, did you make your trip to New Brunswick yet?
March 26th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
I just had the Ruthless Rye last week and that was outstanding. Their Celebration Ale is very good too.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:29 AM

+1 for this good sir.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
Is it bad that I think Pete Campbell is a voice of reason in that office?
March 26th, 2012 at 8:30 AM
But its consistently decent, and often one of the best you’ll find in places with a small selection.
So some shitty zombie show finally ended and immediately some shitty 60′s show takes its place for everyone to babble about. Great.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:31 AM
I saw the first hour and taped the second. I will say that the look Sally gave Megan at breakfast was deadly.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:32 AM
Agreed. Lots of better brews out there.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:34 AM
Here’s another
and another
March 26th, 2012 at 8:35 AM
I see that after a brief reprieve that was JLH we’re back to our usual Roundup pic quality.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
Megan tried to assert her power but wilted quickly in the force of Draper’s pulchritude.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
there must not be any college football pay the playoffs posts in today’s pipeline.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
Minnesota returns to the Frozen Four. Should be a great semi final game against Boston College. Oh and when I think of venues to hold the Frozen Four, Tampa comes to mind. Not! What’s wrong with holding it in St. Paul, Detroit, Chicago, New York or Detroit? The NCAA must be going after that southern market like the NHL has…
March 26th, 2012 at 8:41 AM
Early May. I’m bringing my clubs.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
That I’ll agree with. The Torpedo mentioned earlier is also good stuff.
It’s just that regular old pale ale I can’t get along with. It always tastes skunky.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
And here comes the part of the season where I have to root for BC against the always highly touted mid west teams. Sigh.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
Boomer and Carton are killing the Jets for having a Tebow presser without the coach, GM, or owner being there. Oh, and Tebow will introduce himself.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
Hard to believe anyone would actually give out their facebook password in an interview.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:44 AM
Beer talk? Sure, don’t mind if I do.
I had a bomber of Hop Stoopid for the first time the other day. Damn that’s good stuff.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:44 AM
even tho this “PGA Tour Confidential” is the biggest steaming pile of journalist narcissism available for consumption, i still read it every week. you’ve got it all wrong…they love tiger this week, because in previous editions, they’ve ripped him apart for some of the STUPIDEST bullshit ever.
fuck every single person on that panel other than gary van sickle.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:45 AM
can I interest you in a GIF from the season premiere of Mad Men?
Here’s another

Thank you, kind sir.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:45 AM
Monday’s suck. As evidenced by the following:
1. Kendra in the roundup
2. 2 depressing death related stories
3. Hiding Melanie Iglesias in a blocked link
4. Roundup = weak.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:46 AM
Was Kendra the roundup pic from a couple of weeks ago? Someone said they thought the roundup girl needed Rogaine. She does have a large forehead to lower face ratio going on there.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:46 AM
Or, as I saw someone on Twitter call it, a “triangle in 2″
March 26th, 2012 at 8:46 AM
When Jared Sullinger was in High School in 2007 & saw Greg Oden lead OSU to NCAA Finals, he said “someday, I am going to lead the Buckeyes to a 2nd place finish, too”
March 26th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
I’m going to assume you didn’t have Louisville. Also, the more I watch Harrison Barnes, the more I think he’ll just be an average pro. TBL will agree with me, but given the opportunity, I’d draft Rivers over Barnes.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:48 AM
/team Kendra is trash
March 26th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
That is good stuff. Lagunitas makes some quality brew. The whole foods down the road from me had Hop Stoopid bombers mispriced at $4 for about 6 months.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
when tim hardaway committed to michigan, he said, “someday im going to lose to a 13-seeded ohio in the first round.”
wait…why are we doing this? do either one of us give a shit about college basketball? i sure as hell don’t. carry on…
March 26th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
Howdy Doody in a helmet? That’s terrific. Star-Ledger FTW.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
I had a hard time picking Pitino. He looks like death warmed over.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
my employer doesn’t do this, and i’d hate to see what your coworkers would be like in a company that uses facebook as a way to screen job candidates.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
They’re the best, Jerry! The best!
March 26th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
This has to be among the worst Roundup pics I’ve ever seen. Kendra is not attractive.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:51 AM
JD, what do you think of their radio show?
March 26th, 2012 at 8:51 AM
The Hop Stoopid is a Doubel IPA, right? What is their regular IPA?
March 26th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
Oh and when I think of venues to hold the Frozen Four, Tampa comes to mind. Not!
My thoughts exactly. They were in Lake Placid my junior year when “we” went to the finals. Tons from my school there at the game or just in town for the event.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
Double
March 26th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
Wouldnt this be like asking for personal email passwords? I cant see how this can be a legal practice.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
Sterling was being an ass (it’s gotten worse over the years as he’s become more irrelevant in the firm), for the first time ever found myself siding with Pete on something other than choice in wife
March 26th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
you’re just noticing this now, LA times?
since 2005!!!
“did you know you can go to college online these days?”
-LA Times’d
March 26th, 2012 at 8:55 AM
I believe their regular IPA is just called Lagunitas IPA. Their Little Sumpin is unbelievably good.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:55 AM
Can’t get past those 2 front teeth, sorry.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:55 AM
JD, what do you think of their radio show?
I can’t listen or watch for too long cause Carton gets annoying but they can be pretty funny. Everything they do about the Jets now is hilarious. I switch to Dennis and Callahan but they annoy me when they talk politics.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:57 AM
Refs were terrible in OSU-Syracuse on both sides, but the better team won.
Yep.
March 26th, 2012 at 8:58 AM
Kansas was favored, game was in Missouri, Carolina was missing its top two point guards…and some casual fans out there think Roy Williams choked?
March 26th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
it’s technically legal since facebook privacy policy can’t be enforced at the moment. i’d walk out of any interview where that came up, wouldn’t want to work for a company that even considers weighing your private social media accounts against your professional qualifications for the job.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:01 AM
Will check it out.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:03 AM
That’s a word that was tossed out alot on the ESPN comments. I hoped the outcome would be different, and UNC playing with KU for most of the game, except the last 3-4 minutes got me thinking that they would pull it out.
Having a PT guard like Marshall running the show at the end would have made a difference, no doubt. Oh well, better luck next year. Will miss Zeller on the inside.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:03 AM
My go to IPA is still Stone Ruination, but at $17 for a sixer, it’s a rare treat.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:04 AM
Kansas was favored, game was in Missouri, Carolina was missing its top two point guards…and some casual fans out there think Roy Williams choked?
you’re street. You should get more run on twitter. You’ve got a handle. If I were bolstering my unit, I’d add you to my starting 5 or 11.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
North Carolina was only the underdog because Vegas makes a 4 point choker coach adjustment.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
Dear Lord, why would you venture into that cesspool?
March 26th, 2012 at 9:06 AM
I can’t listen or watch for more than a minute cause Carton is VERY annoying
but they can be pretty funny.March 26th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
When I have Ruination in the fridge and a friend comes over and grabs a beer, it is off limits.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
So some shitty zombie show finally ended and immediately some shitty 60′s show takes its place for everyone to babble about. Great.
the show that kills racehorses was really good on its way out the door, after killing racehorses killed it. And next week, otherworldly medieval fantasy will resume its ceaseless and ceaselessly frustrating storyline. And I’ll babble about that, too.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
North Carolina was only the underdog because Vegas makes a 4 point choker coach adjustment.
if there’s one thing all choking coaches have in common, more than any other thing, it’s NCAA championships.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:09 AM
My go to IPA is Bells Two Hearted. Cannot be beat. About $11 for a sixer. I like the Stone regular IPA though too. Never had Ruination probably because of the cost.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:09 AM
I don’t know if I can go beyond the usual “this”. I know there is the “this x infinity + infinity” that TBL gave us, but this (the above) is more “this” than those options.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
Feeling pretty good with 3/4 of the F4 teams and my Championship is still alive.
me too. sadly, my 4th team was mich state, and i had them winning.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
Dont forget next week brings back the maddeningly long process of solving a murder that has thousands of red herrings!
March 26th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
My go to IPA is Bells Two Hearted.
Oooh, I forgot about the Bells! That’s a close 2nd for me.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
I wanted to see what everyone was saying after the game. Prevalent thoughts were that Roy Williams choked, KU is going to win it all and that if Kendall would have played it wouldn’t have a made a difference.
/finds all three possibilities entirely incorrect
March 26th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
I just went No. 3.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
Dont forget next week brings back the maddeningly long process of solving a murder that has thousands of red herrings!
thanks for reminding me. Who’s watching that? Rusty? Irvin? Girls? Who? Are we boycotting?
March 26th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
that’s why i get the occasional giant bottle of it, 1pt 6oz i think?
i really like Stone IPA and Sam Adams Latitude 48 IPA is surprisingly good.
Flying Dog has a good IPA too.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Next time we hang out, we gotta find a better beer place.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
My husband wanted to boycott, I think my compromise is that we will DVR it and not watch it till days later. I would feel icky giving the show creator any ratings.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
Feeling pretty good with 3/4 of the F4 teams and my Championship is still alive.
I don’t know how many brackets he did, but JayV (@KYJellyJay) got all 8 final 8 teams and all 4 final four teams in one bracket.
And I did even better than that. Feel free to believe us both.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
I would have never guessed that.
Not IPA, but Three Floyds Alpha King pale ale is great.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
Hopslam! I’ll also concur on Stone having some really good brews as well.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
At this point, I don’t even care who killed her, but I’d still consider watching to actively hate it.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
I think my compromise is that we will DVR it and not watch it till days later.
that’s the only thing that they can actually track. The “ratings” are utter bullshit. How many people DVR’ed it is actually something they can find out. You’re being monitored by whoever provides you with that DVR.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
Golf Confidential once said Kenny Perry would go on to win another 10-15 tourneys the way he was hitting the ball. He has not won since. I like when Bamberger gets crabby though, he’s at his best then.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
You should try Green Flash if you haven’t yet.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
This was my thinking as well. I mean, if you take the Kansas PG off of their team I doubt they win that game. When Marshall went down, UNC’s hopes of winning anything went down with him.
/Team 3/4 Final 4s right
March 26th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
Pete Campbell, Charleston-dance Legend.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
I’ve never tried the Bells Two Hearted, I will keep an eye out for it. Regular Stone IPA is very good. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything from Stone that has disappointed me. They have a black IPA, I can’t think of the name, that might be the best beer I’ve had in a long while.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Loved the dig at Betty and Henry from Don, even though it violates every rule in the book on how not to talk to your kids, post-divorce.
And that song that Megan performed was so awful it defies description.
Megan cleaning the apartment was the least convincing temper tantrum/foreplay I have ever witnessed this side of a porno.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
but I’d still consider watching to actively hate it.
I think I’m down with that, for a while, I guess. What a terrible show. I have these grand plans to start and finish Mad Men and watch Deadwood, but I’ve got the summer for that.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
So will there be a group of us in The Killing Season 2 Frustration Pool?
March 26th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
it’s not as good as Stone IPA, but it’s much better than a lot out there that are too hoppy with no flavoring
March 26th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
It’s like Kendra just came to the red carpet from a late-afternoon jog. Probably trying to hide from that 6th-rate WR arena league husband. He’s great on special teams though. BWAHAHAH
March 26th, 2012 at 9:20 AM
Congrats to Ferris St. for their first Frozen appearance.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
also, when YYSA gets here, somebody tell him I’m back on Decastro at 14.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
From what I’ve read when Betty is in an episode, she’ll be prominently featured in that episode, and missing from a number of others.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
I watched the whole first season of GoT for the first time last week when I was sick. I didn’t find it frustrating, I rather enjoyed it. Also, liked the boobage.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
The last (and only) time I was in Philly a friend took me to Eulogy. We drank them out of Delerium Tremens draught.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
I figured the transition lenses would be good for another 5 tournaments alone.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
I didn’t find it frustrating,
I read ahead all the way through book 5. It’s so incredibly frustrating as to be unbelievable. I’m not even looking forward to the 1400 pages of book six that will be coming out in 2023.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
I’m quite sure they’re going to continue this trend this season.
/will be rewatching this week
March 26th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
That place is a beer nuts wet dream.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
I just watched the first two episodes of Mad Men. Debating whether or not I will continue. Is it worth it? Either way, it’s getting put on hold until I finish reading Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings and finish rewatching season 1.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:43 AM

March 26th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
Kendra’s implants trying to get away? They’re heading north.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Two Hearted is good but Lagunitas and about fifty other IPAs shit on it. Michigan beer cannot compare to the PNW and Asheville.

Still 2 weeks away from anyone but Penguins fans caring about Sidney Crosby with any real measure of worry. Show me you can go a month without a headache. His teammate is still more impressive. By a longshot.
The Capitals will be a first round out. If they make it.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
Jesus, dude.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
on the champions tour maybe…he’s got 18 pro wins on all tours and they said he’d get another 10-15? cmon. perry had a sick run for a couple years, but when that putter went cold, so did he. but nobody hits a draw better…one of the best drivers of the ball over the past decade.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
If you really are banning him, I think it’s sort of bullshit that you would do so for him complaining about a very real, consistent problem that seems to be easily fixable.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
In all fairness another dead website who spins things is down too. Perhaps The sportswriters association of ‘merica has finally launched a full scale war on blogs.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
I went straight to the bottom of the comments. How prevalent are the Mad Men spoilers this AM? After the hockey game, I didn’t have time for two hours of TV. Only got a chance to watch Shameless (which was ridiculous) and then cashed out for the night. Going to watch Mad Men tonight.
March 26th, 2012 at 9:57 AM

March 26th, 2012 at 9:59 AM
SC nothing has really been mentioned. The first hour is slow, picks up, then gets a little creepy with Pryce, and sets up the season ahead rather nicely.

It must take every bit of restraint that Dale Hunter possesses to not strangle multiple members of that team on a nightly basis, given the way Dale Hunter played back in the day.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
comrade bigleadovich rule soviet commentariat with iron fist. this issue with technicals…it easily solved from R&D area in gulag. you write the script, go for run with server, making the blog yourself mr. computering genius…no problem.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
Do you even know what his original handle here was? Why the fuck would you single him out for something everyone complains about? Wouldnt a better method for handling this is to acknowledge the issues an explain to us what you are doing to fix them?
March 26th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
You really got him, brah. Congrats.
/pours one out for a fellow Atlantan.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
LOL wow he’s really gone. JMac, you crazy.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Letang’s brain worries me as well. He seemed a little groggy last night after getting hit. If both these guy’s are still standing when the playoffs arrive, I’ll feel a little bit better.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:02 AM

March 26th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
So pointing out the server issues (which have been really bad for a few weeks) is now a bannable offense? Yikes.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
Eff Kansas.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
Yes, but he knows we shall come anyway.

Who did you high five? Yourself?
March 26th, 2012 at 10:05 AM
And the rest of the East will be concerned. Those of us in the West will be hoping for multiple 7 game series in your future. Especially with either Boston or NY. Best case scenario for those of us outside PA is that the Flyers and Pens face each other in the first round so they can beat the crap out of each other before facing their 2nd round opponent. Really need the Rangers to hang on to the Atlantic.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:05 AM
Given Jason’s recent Twitter blocking, not really that surprised by the banning. Not the first “sportswriter” that can’t take what he dishes out.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:05 AM
Well then…
March 26th, 2012 at 10:05 AM
siberia gublag…i like it.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:06 AM
of course not, Mantis.
ATL Badger should have been banished months ago.

I know some people didn’t like him, but “Atl_Engager” was/is one of my favorites here. Opinionated, but almost always well-informed, in my opinion.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Someone just put mudders and KC HiLites on their Jeep.

Next time we hang out, we gotta find a better beer place.
That we do. Decent T&A and $7.50 pitchers of Yeungling were not too bad.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Jason, sir, in all seriousness, it is my opinion that you need to seriously toughen up.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
There’s an amusing irony here of someone getting a suspension out of the Ryan Braun business who isn’t Ryan Braun
March 26th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
Yeah, their chance to win the east will drop if they play the Flyers in the 1st round. That will be a fucking demolition derby if that plays out.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
did you really ban him? wtf is wrong with you. if you banned him it affirms this site doesn’t suck for tech reasons, it sucks b/c the EIC has let it go down the tubes in quality lately.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
like to spice things up on a monday.
And Mantis, you’re a regular, you know that’s not true. When Jay V and I picked a Phillies game this summer, you in?
March 26th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
I’m definitely not watching the next season. What a terrible show… it’s even worse than The Walking Dead.
I watched Mad Men since my fucking bullshit Comcast DVR didn’t record The Good Wife. I can’t even begin to put into words how much a fucking hate Comcast.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
Ohhh I get it, J-Mac was looking for a reason to ban him for his unabashed Braun support.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
i strongly disagree.
if anything should be banished, it’s the sand in dirt’s vagina over last year’s mock draft.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
Jay V and I are trying to get all of the TBLers that live around Philly to go to the Phils-Red Sox on 5/19. So there’s that.
I just think you were a little heavy on the trigger.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:11 AM
opinionated, yes. Well informed, hell no.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:11 AM
Only in Jason’s world is a banning ‘spicing things up on a Monday.’ Spicy indeed!
March 26th, 2012 at 10:11 AM
Mantis – sorry, zero chance I’m going to a Red Sox game. Come on, you know I can’t stand them.
Also, this will probably have to be on a weeknight.

March 26th, 2012 at 10:13 AM
I was busy all morning and I missed ATL badger getting banned? I mean sometimes the constant talking about women seemed to be overcompensating for something, but dude was harmless. Seems excessive to me.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:13 AM
Just b/c you can’t stand them, doesn’t mean you don’t want to hang out and tailgate? But understand on the weekend part.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:13 AM

March 26th, 2012 at 10:16 AM
/randomly dougies thinking of a sunday rory/tiger pairing at augusta
With fair weather, Tiger is going at least -12/-14 range and somebody is having to go below that to take it from him. His new putting style seems to be functioning. I think the game he had at Bay Hill could work at Augusta.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:16 AM
It’s also funny he gets banned considering some of the things that were said in the Bobby Knight thread.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
I keep telling myself I’m going to get there one of these days.
CJ – would you be interested in TBL Philly for the Phils/Red Sox in mid-May?
March 26th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
id love that too…because, while tiger’s got the experience and resolve, rory’s game is in better form than tiger’s. it’d be a classic clash of experience vs. talent.
johnny miller mentioned it on yesterday’s broadcast…while the tee shots at augusta favor a draw, the approaches unquestionably favor a fade, which won’t run as much on those rollercoater greens. tiger had that fade working all weekend and, what’s scarier than his improvements with the driver is that when he wants to rip it, he hits this fucking outrageous draw that looks like a more refined version of the way he’d drive it back in 2000-2002.
IM SO FUCKING EXCITED!!!
March 26th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
I have nothing against Rory at all, but some part of me wants Tiger to stare him down on the back nine on Sunday and make Rory shit himself.
This could happen once. Then Rory would piece it together. Even Jack pooped himself a few times at Majors. I think it could go 2 ways. Rory just murdering drives past Tiger and Tiger trying his gamesmanship crap, although that didnt work vs. YE Yang.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:21 AM
By this time next year, it’s going to be TBL and JHS and a whole slew of Facebook users. He’ll have banned us all by then.

rory’s playing the watson to tiger’s jack. duel in the sun? 82 us open at pebble? if only lightning could strike twice…

you mean he swings like a cripple now? I wish there were OPS+ like stats for pga. I mean he was in the fairway all week but there were fairways over 40+ yards wide. 16 must have been 45-48 yards wide.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
one of the events id love to go to is an india/pakistan cricket match. i imagine the hate between the two sides would make auburn/alabama and osu/mich look like a ticklefight in comparison.

yea, but the fairways are that wide at augusta too.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:26 AM

rory’s playing the watson to tiger’s jack. duel in the sun? 82 us open at pebble?
When I referenced Jack earlier, his shortcomings were more early in his career. He just got outplayed by Watson.
Here’s the thing, Jack was cordial and inspired guys to play better. Tiger (as is his right) gets it ugly on Sunday. He has little-to-no grace when he’s beaten. So no, I don’t think we’ll see a duel-like-that, maybe if Rory-Phil.

he was cordial afterwards, but jack was a cold blooded killer between the ropes. golf terminator. he’d have killed one of his sons if it wouldve given him two extra strokes.
oh, ok…1960 us open comes to mind. missing that 18 inch putt…i think hogan said “if that kid knew what he was doing, he’d have won by 10 strokes.”
March 26th, 2012 at 10:31 AM
yea, but the fairways are that wide at augusta too.
I’d like to get a hold of that info. Some are, but like 13 (?) half of the fairway prevents you getting home in 2. 10-11 are much narrower. I just think the Major conditions will be unlike the tour set-ups (except maybe Riviera) that we’ve seen so far. Yesterday I think the wind had more to do with the play than the setup.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:32 AM

Rory doesn’t give a shit about that.
Neither one of those guys wins Augusta this year. It’s gonna be somebody unexpected that gets hot with the putter.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:35 AM
scripty…regardless of how wide the fairways were at bay hill, tig daddy’s still 1st in total driving.
im interested to see how they set up olympic. those sloped fairways, if they’re too firm, could turn that rape into a murder.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
First they came for JPQ, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a 100 year old Bills fan.
Then they came for the TST, and I didn’t speak out because fuck the Cardinals.
Then they came for the ATL_Engager, and I didn’t speak out because I didn’t want to start a big back-and-forth over something silly.
Then they came for…uh, probably Dirt.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
Hoping there’s a Lisk Tiger post. I only got to see a little of the last round yesterday. That UNC-KU game was pretty entertaining and had me glued.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
I think Rory takes it, actually.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:37 AM
Those are going to be lightening greens. I’d like a young pup scuffling. I like EE (Spencer I also agree no way should they let him in) but I worry he’ll be spent. The are triple-cutting those greens I don’t think he can handle it. I wish Kim was alive, he’d be a good pick. I am on Team Bud Cauley.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:37 AM
That double cross on Saturday that he hooked 800 yards left made Rory’s shot behind some guy’s house at Augusta look like a soft draw.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:38 AM
who’s unexpected? literally a third of the field are guys that “should” win a major in their career.
but considering tiger has finished 4th the past two masters with a shit swing and tons of rust, i like his chances big time. and rory’s a stronger player than he was a year ago too and hasn’t finished out of the top 5 in a tournament since shit…the PGA?
it sounds boring and id love to root for someone lesser, but i don’t see how rory, phil and tiger aren’t the clear, CLEAR favorites at this point.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:38 AM
KG I will by WED.
Cool, thanks — I’ve been in a downward spiral since I picked Phil and he lost in the playoff to Bill Haas.

March 26th, 2012 at 10:40 AM
The last 12 majors have 12 unique winners. I think we see a repeat. I think it’ll be a masher who plays Augusta like a par 69. I’m waiting on the weather updates but will make my picks in due time.
March 26th, 2012 at 10:40 AM

Nice man, everytime I’ve been there I thought the drinks were fairly priced. I must have been a little overserved at the time. Yeah, i love their wings. One of my favorite bars on Carson. I was actually at Excuses last night for a fantasy baseball draft — first time I’d ever been there. Wow that place is Pittsburgh.

So I am west coast late with this, but regarding beer debate, Pure Hoppiness by Alpine Beer Company from Alpine, CA. It’s in San Diego County and if you are in the area you gotta try it. They have a few other seasonals that are great, but PH is their staple. I am on a 2 growler per week diet.

Had to leave though because my girlfriend was finally over the hangover from the night before so I went back home. The bartender with the short hair is one of my best friends here, that place can be a shitshow but it’s fairly cheap, especially the food. I love it.

I got food and it was delicious, I cant believe I had never been there before. Well, atleast we now know for sure we’ve been in the same place at the same time.
March 26th, 2012 at 11:19 AM
What’d you go with? I had the “stupid hot” wings for lunch and they were good, I still have a few varieties to try. I love their pork sandwich as well.
The only downside of that bar is the same as many in this city, difficult to take a shit in.
On Saturday after Archie’s we went to Salac’s in Lawrenceville. It is literally three blocks from my house and I have passed it every day for six months and had no idea where it was. Next to the car dealership before New Amsterdam. The place literally does not carry mixers. Just liquor, and there’s only Bud heavy on tap. Interesting place.
March 26th, 2012 at 11:20 AM

Steak wrap and fries, cant really go wrong with it — it was good and cheap.
Im goign to a party in Larryville next Friday night — i think we are hitting the scene after a couple drinks, I’m down to check out some places like that. I think someone told me about that place over St. Patricks Day weekend actually.

It closes at ten, it’s most retired cops that drink there. Very very strange place.
We went to Take A Break afterward, a solid dive bar as well.
