Big dry spell recently though. None of those guys played HS hoops in the last 10 years.

There is a whole lot of talent in that state. People tend to forget about it since nobody ever stays and plays for SC… Or plays college at all. Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Jermaine O’Neal, Raymond Felton, Ramon Sessions…

Fogler got SC a 2 AND a 3 in consecutive years. It can be done.

K-State is not a great job, Martin can pay players anywhere. K-State was in a similar situation as S. Carolina when Martin and Huggins arrived.

I think it is a better job, though. SC is just like UGA. When the bball team is good, people go and have a good time and pull for them, but if the bball team is bad, they only care if football is bad, too.

Yet, SCarolina outdrew K-State attendance-wise 10 of the last 12 years. Not like K-State is constantly filling the arena.

That being said, if Martin really wanted to leave Manhattan you’d think he would wait for a better opening. This seems more like a ploy to get paid to stay where he’s at.

As for Gregg…our AD has issues with him. That’s all I can really say.

Manhattan is 2 hours from Kansas City, and they don’t put mustard all up in their barbecue.

I’m from eastern North Carolina so to me true barbecue is a simple salt, vinegar and cider base using the whole hog but I love and respect all types of ‘cue.

Since Martin was living in Manhattan I have a difficult time calling this a lateral move when all things are considered.
