This is both horrible and hilarious. Maria Dmitrienko won a gold medal at the 10th Arab Shooting Championship in Kuwait. As she stood on the podium with her gold medal around her neck they played the national anthem of her home country, Kazakhstan. Just kidding – they played Borat’s made-up version of the Kazakhstani national anthem from 2006′s Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. To Dmitrienko’s credit, she kept her composure and didn’t freak out. That’s incredible when you consider these were the lyrics playing during what should have been the proudest moment of her life.
