Man, it blows my mind that arguably the Steelers strongest unit, the WR, consists of a 3rd, a 6th and a 3rd. Very fortunate to have Colbert.

I would say that far beyond Cowher, Tomlin, and even Lebeau, Colbert is the most valuable person in the organization over the last 12 years. Consistently finds diamonds in the rough at almost every position. So many home runs in the draft during his tenure that it’s almost unreal.

Poor phrasing on my part. AB and Wallace run different routes because of the WR (Z vs X) positions they play. More often, Browns routes are closer to LOS, while Wallace is a vertical variety. I think this makes it seem like there is a huge disparity between the two. Both are really good at them. Sanders too, if he can stay healthy.

Never said he’d be easy to replace. That speed doesn’t grow on trees. I think they will end up keeping them both, but AB is the more complete receiver right now, and I think most fans would say the same thing. Wallace can be a complete game changer though. Again, would HATE to lose him. Just don’t keep trying to convince me that Wallace has better hands than Brown, that’s ridiculous.

Agree with all this. AB makes tough, usually big catches. Wallace makes plays himself, but isnt as fluid running routes and with the ball in his hands, and is more prone to drops. He’s still damn good, but gun to head I want AB.

Not sure what it proves, but 3 of his 8 TDs were in the RZ, where his speed is less of an asset. 2 more were within 25 yards.
