Robert Duvall and Martin Sheen have my interest. Big fans of both. I’ll watch it for sure. I like war movies, just never got around to that one.

Brando was great and Hopper was his crazy best. Duvall was awesome albeit in a smallish role.

Don’t go with Redux. Go with the original cut. Redux is fine only after you are an established fan and don’t mind the script deviation at the French plantation.

Also, this part was huge bullshit on the part of Selig:

This isn’t the first time that Berkman has been critical of Selig in the media. In September 2008, he was quick to make his feelings known when MLB shifted an Astros-Cubs series to Milwaukee in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

We were actually smelling a playoff spot that year, but then that series happened. We had to pick up and play a ‘Home game’ in the Cubs fucking back yard.

I’ll give it a whirl tonight.

The first time I watched it, was on a crappy TV. Put it on a good TV, and adjust color/lighting/sound so you can see and hear everything. I missed a lot in the dark (both literal and figurative) scenes at the end.

You say ‘extort’, I say ‘leverage’. I think it’s a great move that makes sense. He didn’t extort Crane, either way. If anything, he extorted the previous owner who couldn’t cash out if the sale was held up. Shut up, fatty.

Selig all but said he wouldn’t let the other owners vote on Crane taking control of the team until he agreed to the AL move, knowing full well that Crane and his partners only had a deal with November 30 of last year.

If that’s extortion, then I don’t know what is.
