It was neat, however I have no problems drinking JD neat, or any other kind of whiskey or scotch neat.

But most of the teams they played didn’t struggle in stopping that offense…and in the games he started they weren’t dominating TOP as much as I think you’re crediting them for (in the games he started it averaged out to about a 50/50 split and that included them having a 33-26 advantage in the Patriot playoff game)

My mistake. Part of the battlefield, especially around Carter House is well-preserved. But you’re right, according to Wikipedia, much of the original battlefield has been lost to the development.

Want to hear something strange? I love JD, but I can’t drink regular bourbons. For my cousin’s bachelor party, we got a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve. Not sure what age, but it was like $90/bottle, so it had to be fairly high. Anyway, I couldn’t even finish the glass.

Never been there I don’t think. I’ve been to Ft. Negley a few times here in the city, but I always thought the battleground was where the (former) golf course was sitting.

That is a bit strange as Jack has a pretty strong flavor profile. The Pappy you had sounds like it was the 18 year old. I think the 21 year old goes for $120 or something like that.

Bourbon doesn’t really develop a mellower taste over time because the barrel it is housed in is a new barrel with a fresh char to it. It’s not like scotch where the barrel has been used before the the flavor mellows over time as more of the car is consumed.
