No, ESPN, Laron Landry Did Not Sign with the Patriots. He Signed with the Jets

A reader sent in this photo/screengrab of an ESPN blog post Monday afternoon that announced the Patriots had signed free agent LaRon Landry. The item, written by James Franklin, cited Adam Schefter as the source.
Well, lines must have got crossed somewhere, because Landry is actually taking his cartoonishly large arms to the New York Jets. (I’d rather not waste your time talking about Landry’s potential impact on the Jets. Frankly, I think the loss of Marquice Cole to the Patriots is more significant. Bigger picture: Jets’ GM Mike Tanenbaum is screwing up another offseason, and I’m bitter.)
The blog post has been scrubbed off ESPN, but if you google the headline, you can see it.

Desperate heist by ESPN. Draw your own conclusions before you are hung up on.

Glad the Pats didn’t sign this guy. Between Gallery, Stallworth, Lloyd, Gonzalez, and (possibly) Castillo we have all the reclamation projects we need.

Gallery isn’t really a reclamation project is he? I thought he was pretty good these days

Time to cold call James Franklin, methinks.

What’s funny is that if there was some sort of snag TBL would be the first to post a screen grab of the Denver website announcing his signing.
Wow. I think I had one of those mole man prophecies earlier today.

So, for those if you at home, ESPN did EXACTLY what a Duffy post criticized the broncos for not doing, not 6 hours earlier. The same post TBL asked a commenter what he did for a living after he was cruticized. All in a days work around here.

Do you not make egregious errors all the time? Like saying Mike Woodson was in consideration for coach of the year for coaching the Hawks when he was a Knicks assistant. You’re foolish.

Ha, because this site would never make a mistake, would it?
