In January, Rob Lowe tweeted that Peyton Manning would retire. That did not happen. Now Chad Lowe is tweeting that Peyton Manning will sign with the Cardinals. He doesn’t claim to have any inside information, but you’ll be thrilled to see his rationale.

A dome stadium and Larry Fitzgerald are two things that any quarterback would enjoy. That I’m not arguing with. What I would take issue with is that Peyton Manning is worried about the shadow of some combination of Dan Marino, John Elway and Tim Tebow. Peyton Manning is ahead of Elway in every major category (except rings!) and a few good seasons from passing Marino. And Tebow? If Chad Lowe were a columnist or NFL talking head, I might lose my mind when he said that. Since, he’s just Byron Montgomery from something called Pretty Little Liars, I’ll move along with my evening.
