If You’re Drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves, Expect to Have a Major Injury
Ricky Rubio’s torn ACL has ruined Minnesota’s promising season. As noted by Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune, Rubio’s the latest in a long line of first round picks by the Timberwolves since 2005 to suffer a major injury.
2005: Rashad McCants (knee) – Missed 45 games in his second season.
2006: Randy Foye (kneecap) – Missed 43 games to start his second year.
2007: Corey Brewer (ACL) – Missed 67 games in his second season.
2008: Kevin Love (Broken hand) – Missed 22 games in his second season.
2009: Ricky Rubio (ACL) – Spectacular rookie season ruined by Kobe Bryant.
The good news is that the Wolves don’t have a 1st round pick in 2012. The Hornets got it in the Chris Paul trade.

Not the best year for Minnesota sports stars in general, what with Morneau/Mauer injuries, Adrian Peterson tearing his ACL, and now Rubio.

The market for skinny, hairy arms is not big. My guess is that your arms pass through waivers, and are free agents by Wednesday.

So the Timberwolves have morphed into the Clippers?

Under the category of “Things that make you go ‘Hmmmm …. I’m getting fucking old’”: TBL link “&A: Yanks 3B Dante Bichette Jr.”
Dante Bichette JR.?! Prince Fielder is still making me feel ancient, since I remember when his dad was a rookie. Now Dante Bichette’s kid?

That’s a common move in the Walking Dead league, I believe.

Right, but their 2010 and 2011 picks should now be worried.

This may blow your mind…but someone else did the work/research. He just re-aggregated the information.

This looks like it’s gonna be absolutely awful.
The problem with hipsters who love Kerouac is that they have never understood that Kerouac hated hipsters.

Also, to be technical, Kevin Love was drafted by Memphis and traded for O.J. Mayo. O.J. Mayo has missed 11 games in 4 years. So maybe there is no curse.

I’d rather sign with the T-Wolves than the Broncos.
