Watch Everyone Laugh at Digger Phelps For Saying, “Twitter Him Back”
Rather docile appearance from the college basketball analysts on ESPN and TruTV tonight. There were no outrageous NCAA tournament snubs to work anyone into a lather. Sure, there were some poor seeds handed out – Memphis vs. Saint Louis in an 8-9 game is a travesty, consider the stats say both are Top 15 teams – and Kentucky has the most difficult region of any No. 1 seed. But sanity prevailed (from the analysts and the seeding committee).
But here’s Digger Phelps displaying his firm grasp of social media. [vid via Mike the Hopeful Intern]

Digger coached Notre Dame when they upset the Bill Walton-led UCLA juggernaut
March 11th, 2012 at 9:46 PM

Oh i took some time away from a lot of web things other than email, job hunting, and ipad games..oh and fantasy hockey. I was just wasting too much time. No, i was not in jail (though WWoS told me some people assumed that). I still don’t have a job but there are some more opportunities opening now that it is spring. I’m also reapplying to grad school so I can finish my Master’s; hope to reenroll in the fall and finish my thesis for december graduation. Other than that, things have been good. I would read the site once a day or so but it was good to step back from posting for a while. I even had JMac delete my original account to make it easier

good to have ya back
March 11th, 2012 at 10:18 PM
Props to A.P.; last night he gave me my first “shut your whore mouth” on this site. That was my best moment since Senator J called me a douchcanoe. Made me feel like one of the guys.

Also, I’m watching Walking Dead on DVR, and all I can say is, Lori is the most schizo multiple-personality nut since Sybil. Now she’s all buddy-buddy with Shane again?! Also, T-Dawg had lines this week!!!

March 11th, 2012 at 10:28 PM
Ah, good times.
March 11th, 2012 at 10:30 PM
Nada, i loved your rant on the Saints last week. I feel for ya man. I could see the steam coming from texas
March 11th, 2012 at 10:30 PM
Now Walking Dead is a Hallmark afterschool special, as Rick explains to Carl that everyone dies while a piano tinkles plaintively in the background.
Explain to your son also, Rick, that Dale would still be alive if Carl wasn’t such a little pussy.

it’s like a welcome mat
March 11th, 2012 at 10:31 PM
Maybe Digger has a bet with his son-in-law Jamie Moyer to see who will retire first
March 11th, 2012 at 10:32 PM
I watched one episode of Walking Dead…and wish i had been shot

I’ve pretty much settled on the Niners as my new allegiance. That’s NFC. Since I’ve given up my lifelong affiliation, I believe I should get two teams in return. In the AFC, I’m going with Houston.

It has its good points, especially when it kicks into real action, like the scene in the bar two episodes ago, or whenever the walkers show up. But it’s got some serious writing disabilities.

this is not from the heart and you will be drunk-texting sproles by october
March 11th, 2012 at 10:42 PM
This is unfortunately true. I wore out my heart on the Aints and will not give it to any other pro franchise ever again. But having lived in Northern Cali for six years, I like the Niners and Harbaugh. And I was there for the Nolan and Singleton low points, so I’ve got that connection.
I will miss Sproles, Brees and Graham, though.

BTW, Breaking Bad will be back on in July. They are gonna have a tough time topping last season’s finale.
March 11th, 2012 at 10:59 PM
Ill be happy if they would never bring back The Killing. I loved Rubicon and was pissed that it was canceled
March 11th, 2012 at 11:01 PM
You guys watch Justified? Been watching this season. There’s always at least one LOL moment from Olyphant’s character every week. “getting old’s for pussies”
March 11th, 2012 at 11:09 PM
Wow. Great timing.
March 11th, 2012 at 11:10 PM
My allegiance was with the niners til 2002. Then i took a shit on the York’s doorstep
March 11th, 2012 at 11:17 PM
So Stu Scott still can’t read a teleprompter? The kid from Creighton is Doug McDermott, not Craig.
March 11th, 2012 at 11:21 PM
You stopped being a fan when they stopped being good. Got it.
March 11th, 2012 at 11:25 PM
You got it backwards. It was the Yorks who took a shit on every Niners fan’s doorstep.
It’s amazing how Jed in such a short time has managed to undo his parents’ decade of idiotic management. If only Tom Benson had such a child.
March 11th, 2012 at 11:27 PM
I watched an episode when it was first on. It was good, but for whatever reason — probably because I got hooked on Burn Notice around the same tim — I just never tuned back in.
It gets good reviews, though, and I’ve heard the Margo Martindale character was great.
March 11th, 2012 at 11:32 PM
Ballz, it was a downward spiral. Plus, i was a little kid when i started liking them. Perhaps my allegiance died with jerry leaving SF. I was a football bachelor for many years after. Only recently have i given a bit more attention to the Bills because i’ve lived in upstate NY most of my life
March 11th, 2012 at 11:49 PM
Well, nobody, and I mean NOBODY loves Jerry like I do, and I stuck with them. But no big deal, I suppose. And, am I confused or is that JPQ’s old gravatar? Are you new?
March 11th, 2012 at 11:54 PM
what are you, some kinda filter ballz? the arbiter of what passes for TBLAD these days?
March 12th, 2012 at 12:04 AM
Ballz, im only new in name only…its the person formerly known as traderjack. Left..came back..new account, and i actually got a gravatar this time.
/pours one out for jpq
March 12th, 2012 at 12:13 AM
Oh, traderjack. I remember you. And to answer Vez’s query: Yes.
March 12th, 2012 at 12:16 AM
Oh and fuck the lakers…but more fuck the celtics for losing 97-94 after leading 94-89. I was so pissed
March 12th, 2012 at 12:19 AM
The Lakers where up by 16 at one point I think.
March 12th, 2012 at 12:22 AM
Yeah, i turned back to college games when the lakers were up big early 2nd quarter. I couldnt believe Boston ttied the game.
March 12th, 2012 at 12:24 AM
Too bad World Peace only shows up for the really big games.
March 12th, 2012 at 11:31 AM
Kentucky has the toughest road of the #1 seeds? They have the weakest #2 (Duke), a #3 in Baylor that failed all its biggest tests until they beat KU in the conference tournament, a #4 Indiana that peaked in December, and a potential 2nd round UConn opponent that beat exactly 1 tournament team (WVU in OT) since January 1.
