Here’s ESPN’s Dick Vitale Talking About Our Feature on ESPN’s Jay Bilas
All, College Basketball, ESPN, Media Gossip/Musings, Video March 10th. 2012, 1:25pm
I’m assuming Vitale really enjoyed the part about Coach K. There are plenty of leftovers that didn’t make the story that we may be dropping into posts throughout March Madness.

Is there where I again say that Jay Bilas is a smug piece of shit, and worse than Skip Bayless ever thought about being? Yes? Ok, I said it.

I think we’ve talked about this before. Bilas used to be a very likable guy. I think ESPN made him into what he is today. Which is very unlikable.

First Cowherd, now Bilas. Pretty impressive work by ESPN PR neutering a once independent sports blog into writing puff pieces on two of its biggest “personalities”. Brilliant work, really.
Access is a powerful incentive.

Did you get free lunch or any schwag?
March 10th, 2012 at 1:59 PM
Now, J-Mac, don’t go all T.O.-level self-congratulatory on us.

Dickie V’s purely organic mention wasn’t good enough for you, Mr. Cynical?

purely organic mention

Shameful how you’ve spread your legs for ESPN. Limbaugh has a term or two for guys like you.

Jesus, I’m trying to watch Doral, and the coverage again is all “Tiger, Tiger, Tiger!” Even though McIlroy is shooting lights out and Bubba is burning it up as well.
It’s like ESPN’s NASCAR coverage, which has become “All Danica, all the time.” I know it’s all about ratings and page hits, but Jesus.

Nada I was just commenting on Rory’s round. Best scenario they end up 3rd/4th at end of day and are paired together tomorrow.
March 10th, 2012 at 2:32 PM
Justin Rose’s got sick short game. I hexed Rory. He had a window to poss hit 59 but thats dead.

30 on the front nine for McIlroy. But Bubba’s not giving any ground.

UNC/NCState is tied with a minute left.
March 10th, 2012 at 3:09 PM
Fuck North Carolina. And Roy’s jacket.
March 10th, 2012 at 3:14 PM
Especially Roy’s jacket.
Only caught the final minute, was officiating that awful all the way through?

I only caught the last 10 minutes. It was sort of iffy, but nothing like the end of the game. NC State is playing for their lives to get into the Tourney and their needed to be better reffing at the end.
Oh, and NC State shouldn’t have needlessly turned it over a couple times.
March 10th, 2012 at 3:16 PM
Their? There? Jebus.
March 10th, 2012 at 3:19 PM
Reggie, am I crazy to think Luke (along with Pek, Love, Williams, etc. doing their thing) playing the way he has been can still make them an 8-seed? I was thinking 5-7 seed with Rubio.
March 10th, 2012 at 3:30 PM
NC State got absolutely hosed by the refs. Kendall Marshall got away with a blatant charge on the go-ahead basket, and the State shooter was mugged on his final shot. ACC doing everything possible to set up a UNC / Duke championship game.

Chief, I think they can but it will be tough if Barea can’t stay healthy.

I’d say we’re still pretty balanced.

Malcolm Lee was recalled yesterday, before the Laker game, he’s coming off a torn meniscus in his left knee. If I remember correctly, he’s the only “natural 2″ on the team, but still averaged 6 assists in the D-league. So he could be helpful while Barea’s gone again.

Would Minny be a fit for Ramon Sessions?
March 10th, 2012 at 4:18 PM
It would fit, but I’m not sure what Minny could give for him. Beasley seems like too much (could be wrong on that, feel free to correct me), and the only draft pick they have for next year is OKC’s 2nd round…so that could be #60.

love the constructive criticism.
discrepancy between the commenters here and followers on twitter is … jarring. polar opposites.
