So one of my friends just posted pictures of his first son being born. Like, BEING BORN. Blood everywhere, naked mother.
Luckily I’m already pretty fucked up, so I can handle it, but this is not how I want to start a Wednesday. Anyway.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:03 AM
Kronwalled.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:04 AM
Jesus Christ. Announcers are right about the whistle.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:06 AM
What the fuck?
March 7th, 2012 at 8:07 AM
Yeah. Should have been a whistle after it was obvious Voracek was not alright. That’s a clean hit though. Just stepped into him with his shoulder. I know there’s direct head contact. But Voracek has his head down and has to be more aware on the ice. I still think he gets suspended though.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:08 AM
I agree with all of that, Vlad.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:09 AM
California woman killed by cannonball fired by husband”
East Bound and Down was awesome two weeks ago
March 7th, 2012 at 8:09 AM
Another great start to a Wednesday morning.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:12 AM
Seems as Josh Brolin and Tommy Lee Jones starred together in a movie already, I think it was No Country for Old Men. Don’t think the Academy will be recognizing this one.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:16 AM
That part was sofa king unbelievable.
Bryz is back, baby!
March 7th, 2012 at 8:17 AM
Derek Jeter’s childhood house is for sale
Somebody should look around in the attic to see where he left his “rocket-powered arm”.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:18 AM
I watched the replay, but you must have had a different angle because it didn’t look that bad. Ridnour got a little handsy trying to prevent Blake from catching the pass. Blake then horsecollars ridnour.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:18 AM
Where were you on that one, God?
March 7th, 2012 at 8:18 AM
Yes, there will be a Men in Black 3. I missed the first two, so I’ll definitely skip this one.
Do yourself a favor. When the kid is 8 or so, watch all 3.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:18 AM
Is she hot?
March 7th, 2012 at 8:19 AM
I heart Bill Clement
March 7th, 2012 at 8:21 AM
40 years of Vegas sprawl, anyone?
Is that really sprawl? First, it’s out west and their are not building highrise condos/appts out there. 2nd, the population grew from 400k to 2mm in 30 years. There was no existing infrastructure, no urban area that people moved away from to go to these areas. This was organic growth. I think of sprawl, I think of more of white flight to the suburbs, loaded with Applebees and strip malls. After living in California, I had been considering a move to LV and had driven through the outlying areas, looking at houses. Yeah, everything was built in this generation but there are some legitimite growth factors necessitating it.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:22 AM
Poor little Peyton.
Manning, Moss and Wayne all to the same team would be awesome. Slinging!
March 7th, 2012 at 8:22 AM
Every time TBL posts pictures of Sophia Bush I think of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWshbNTYVqg&feature=youtube_gdata_player
March 7th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
BEING BORN. Blood everywhere, naked mother.
/Is she hot?
Her hormones are through the roof. Might be into some wild stuff. Get into the mix and cross that one off the freak files.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
obviously the rat was involved.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:24 AM
Just noticed that UT is trying desperately to raise their 4 yr. grad rate, probably for ranking purposes. I have a friend who works in administration at Rice U. He told me the amount of effort they put into raising their US News ranking from 17 is absolutely staggering.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:25 AM
Welcome to earf.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:27 AM
A nice “F*ck you” to the Mountaineers for leaving the conference, I’m guessing.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
I notice at least two USA Today links in the roundup today.
Draw your own conclusions.
/JMac
March 7th, 2012 at 8:29 AM
He told me the amount of effort they put into raising their US News ranking from 17 is absolutely staggering.
The college and hospital rankings probably provide US News & World Report enough graft and bribes to function all year long.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:30 AM
All men wished/hoped that number would be 40% instead of the lowly 4%
March 7th, 2012 at 8:33 AM
REACH. I’m on the road, wasn’t at a CPU all yesterday to collect wacky links.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:34 AM
When the global population killing pandemic hits, it will spawn from the ball pit at Chuck E. Cheese. Do not go there unless the family is in HAZMAT suits.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:34 AM
Kate Upton modeling bikinis!
Looked like the same shot with different bikinis Photoshopped in. Glad I scrolled down to the ripped jorts ass shot.

Female Student To Try Out For LSU Tigers Football Team Tuesday
Cute.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:36 AM
Yeesh, that’s a terrible Roundup pic.

When the global population killing pandemic hits, it will spawn from the ball pit at Chuck E. Cheese. Do not go there unless the family is in HAZMAT suits.
My son was in one of those once. This smell came out that was just staggering. Last time my kids went in one of those.
It was his own stench, but still.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
No. What the hell are you talking about?
March 7th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
Female Student To Try Out For LSU Tigers Football Team Tuesday
Is it Kathy Ireland?
March 7th, 2012 at 8:39 AM
I do. It’s not the best thing ever but I enjoy it. Also it’s fun to point out to my wife all the things on the show related to the practice of law that could never happen in real life.
/ quick get another witness for us before court this afternoon.
// ah no dumbass you have to disclose all witnesses months in advance.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
How the hell do you miss the first one? It was plastered all over basic cable (TNT & TBS) for the past decade plus.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
Whatcha looking at in this pic? Someone mustve had a nice v-shaped back.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
I am having second thoughts. You should at least wait until she’s hosed off and perhaps wait until she has the high score in rehab vagina pacman.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:44 AM
hacker rats out his buddies
Ain’t no friends in the hack game. It’s play or get played.
“Young Adults See Their Pay Decline”
Well it’s not like they’re the 1%.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:44 AM
Yeah, don’t really get that Luke was the one who did the dirty play.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
I haven’t seen them either. Never had any desire to.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
Whatcha looking at in this pic?
And why do you look so tiny? Weird perspective or something?
March 7th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
O/U on Manning posts today? 2.5
March 7th, 2012 at 8:51 AM
OVAAAAAH
March 7th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
BEING BORN. Blood everywhere, naked mother.
That’s a bit too much. Take pics of the baby (that’s what everyone wants to see).
How the hell do you miss the first one? It was plastered all over basic cable (TNT & TBS) for the past decade plus.
They just put it last weekend before the ASG if I’m not mistaken.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
First one was fun. Second one, less so.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
first thought was, girl from the south, wants to play football, she has to be just a huge, diabetic fatass. clicked link and was pleasantly surprised.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
I’d live some details on this…
…but definitely not this.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
How do you forget your kid at Chuck E. Cheese, and then find out while watching the Evening News?
nightmare. I’ve forgotten to meet the bus when my kindergartner is dropped off at noon, but only few a few minutes. Oh Shit! when I look at the clock, and burst outside, waving.
They sit and wait a few minutes for you
March 7th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
Kinda like Holley Mangold????
March 7th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
He’s got a jacket on. You can’t see the guns.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:57 AM
this is a pointy elbow thing, but goddamn does Sophia Bush have a huge heed
it’s like an orange on a toothpick
March 7th, 2012 at 8:58 AM
So one of my friends just posted pictures of his first son being born. Like, BEING BORN. Blood everywhere, naked mother.
taking the pics is no big deal. posting them will have him suffering forever.
when was in the surgery room for one of the c-sections, i took pics of the floor gore, but they are safely in our house in frames on our walls as visitors enter
March 7th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
first thought was, girl from the south, wants to play football, she has to be just a huge, diabetic fatass. clicked link and was pleasantly surprised.
TBL already posted about this girl.
March 7th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
It’s amazing what being photographed next to a toddler will do for the reputation of your arm cannons.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
Think she cried herself to sleep on a tiny pillow?
March 7th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
Why? I don’t want any part of this experience let alone documenting it in any way.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:02 AM
it’s like Sputnik!
March 7th, 2012 at 9:04 AM
Great post.
/wanking motion
March 7th, 2012 at 9:04 AM
From what I recall, she has been through a lot during her time at LSU and has gotten a lot of support from friends and other students, including football players. I think she did some youtube videos with Sheppard and Mattheui, so she is probably not ragged on by the team. Good luck to her, can’t wait for Les Miles to run the over the shoulder toss fake FG to her against Bama.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
until manning got hurt, moss decides he doesn’t want to run routes with a sanchez type QB and Wayne wonders how bad his luck is.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
Glad I could Duckworth so early in the morning.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
Think she can run triple option better than Jefferson?
March 7th, 2012 at 9:09 AM
She’s really cute and has worked out with the team previously. I can’t imagine she makes the team, but that would be the most Les Miles thing ever it if indeed it does happen.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:09 AM
one of my favorite coaches was a guy who was an o-lineman for iowa in the 1960s and an assistant at NW. for that background you think old school, inflexible, 3 yards cloud of dust. he was an inventive offensive mind tho, loved the passing game, trick plays. Tim Stratton of Purdue played for him. anyway, he used a girl kicker one season
March 7th, 2012 at 9:09 AM
Like how they refer to Mo Isom as “female student”. She’s probably more recognizable on the LSU campus than 90% of the football players.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:09 AM
Female Student To Try Out For LSU Tigers Football Team Tuesday
Imagine the bounty.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
Kronwalled.
First time in a while he didn’t leave his feet. Not sure they can suspend him for that one. Voracek has to know who’s playing the point on that side.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
I lust Sophia Bush.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
Goodall probably told irsay to get the Manning mess over today so it has a short news cycle with his suspensions of the Saints coming soon.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
I’m assuming those are post-tournament efficiency numbers. Would be interested to see where, say, UConn ranked, efficiency-wise, pre-NCAA tournament last year.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
Random question that my mother-in-law made me think about:
How many DVDs/Blurays do you own?
My MIL must have 400+ DVDs and Blurays THAT SHE BOUGHT BRAND NEW. I’d say 25% are still in the cellophane.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
How long after Manning’s dismissal will we need that Luck has agreed to terms with the Colts and starts workout out 5 weeks ahead of the draft?
March 7th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
He should have waited until the Kansas City Royals fire their manager.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Like how they refer to Mo Isom as “female student”. She’s probably more recognizable on the LSU campus than 90% of the football players.
I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy the shit she’s been through. Good for her.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
First one was fun. Second one, less so.
one of the biggest gaps in sequels. first one is a quote-mine, and of course fiorentino at her peak
March 7th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
Soooooo, is everyone patiently waiting for the “Where will Manning end up next” post to start riding TBL about the Jets being interested? 75 posts and nary a comment.
/Today (and the next few weeks) might be fun
March 7th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
Too many. Outside of kids movies, I won’t buy anymore. Between Amazon and Netflix, I can get most every movie.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
My FIL is the same way. Not only does he have the huge DVD collection, I’ll be he has 500 VHS tapes, purchased 15 – 25 years ago, with the aforementioned 25% still in the wrapper.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
There’s a small part of me that would like to see Peyton go to the Jets so Jersey can be rewarded for being a fan. Then that small part is curb-stomped by the thought of Jace and the rest of the J-E-T-S fans talking shit and pumping out their chests all season long. So now I’m on Team: Anywhere but the Jets.
/sorry Jersey
March 7th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Any niners fans weigh in on signing Manning?
Great defense, pretty good running game, decent O-line. If they dump Alex Smith and sign Manning and Wayne, or another FA receiver, wouldn’t they be the prohibitive favorites to win the NFC? Honestly, I don’t know what their cap situation is, so of course that would have to be taken into consideration. Forget the shitshow that’s the NFC West, they got that.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
Welcome to earf.
Best line in the movie
March 7th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
Most importantly, it has this clip
March 7th, 2012 at 9:20 AM
Goodall probably told irsay to get the Manning mess over today so it has a short news cycle with his suspensions of the Saints coming soon.
They have to do it today, if not they have to pay him 28 mil tomorrow
March 7th, 2012 at 9:20 AM
I like Men in Black. My wife loves Men in Black. I’ve probably seen the first one start to finish 8 times, and probably 7 of those with her.
The second one isn’t great or anything, but I really like it when Will Smith “activates” Biz Markie. That part’s great.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
I have about 50 DVDs. A while back I bought a bunch and wanted to start a collection. Then I realized that I NEVER watch them and probably never will so I stopped.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
There’s a small part of me that would like to see Peyton go to the Jets
Polian got on Mike and Mike and said that Peyton wants to be on a team that is more concerned about winning games than winning press conferences. I’d say that rules out the Jets.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
Ive seen this “Invisible Children” thing popping up all over my Twitter and I cant watch the videoo cuz Im at work. Anyone seen it and care to summarize?
March 7th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
I used to own about 250ish, only 2 are still in cellophane. i’m down to about half that, looking to downsize even more. I’d like to have about 50-60, but even then i haven’t watched much of my own collection in a looooong time.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
Does the fact that Washington plays in the same division as the Giants, where Peyton would have to play Eli twice a year, hurt or help their chances. Or does that have any relevance whatsoever?
March 7th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
no dawg, you should hope for it, and then watc them lose the sfc title game
AGAIN
March 7th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
probably around 25 Blu-Rays. probably around 500 dvds.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
Not according to the TWolves color broadcaster. What a homer.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
Man, here’s a dirty play from Luke Ridnour. Wait for the replay.
Watched 12 times and still dont see what you see. Must be one of those “Ochocinco says he dated Kate Upton” things
March 7th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
He also needs to keep his head up.
I started buying DVDs back in 2001…I have close to 250 along with maybe 25 Blu Rays. It’s ridiculous.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
Rob Lowe says it hurts the chances of Peyton playing there.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
I like Men in Black. My wife loves Men in Black. I’ve probably seen the first one start to finish 8 times, and probably 7 of those with her.
not too bad for the kids either. we went months with them asking me to recreate the cute alien baby puking scene
March 7th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
Welcome to earf.
Best line in the movie.
different movie
March 7th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
This was on HBO last night. Obviously I watched the whole thing.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
So the local color guys for teams tend to be homers? Shocking. Shocking, I tell you.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
Jets are too stubborn to take Peyton and get to the next level. He’s going to Miami depending on his dome concerns.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
It’s gonna be ‘Zona for Peyton.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:27 AM
good call with Sophia Bush, could have gotten a much better pic, though.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
different movie
I was talking about Independence day, and its my favorite line from that movie.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
Why hello there, Sophia Bush, you are very pretty.
Will Smith is starting to look old. Especially in that video still up top.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
It has been on heavy rotation on HBO & Cinemax the past few weeks. I still watch it almost every time. And how is an old Macbook used to transmit a virus to alien technology? Really?
March 7th, 2012 at 9:29 AM
Holy.Shit.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
And how is an old Macbook used to transmit a virus to alien technology? Really?
Ha. That’s like #18,583,545 on the list of implausible/impossible things to happen in that movie.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
wouldn’t it be great if the news conference was actually just Peyton eating Oreos in celebration of the cookie’s 100th anniversary?
has this been ruled out yet?

Holy.Shit.
Indeed. Holy Cheek Bones.
/didn’t read the story
March 7th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
I read they deleted a scene where this is explained, somehow Goldblum gets it to interface with the fighter (another question is how come a technologically advanced race would still be using the same equipment 40 years later) and then they’re good to go
March 7th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
And how is an old Macbook used to transmit a virus to alien technology? Really?
do not question goldblum
March 7th, 2012 at 9:32 AM
Anyone know if SanFran can afford him? He’d own that division for as long as he was healthy.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:32 AM
Would love to see Peyton sign with the Fins so he can carve up the Pats makeshift secondary twice a year. Something that Sanchez has obviously has struggled with. And I don’t think Reggie Wayne would mind going back to Miami either – if they happen to be a package deal.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
Such an incredible movie. I love when the President goes “They look… a little nervous.” right before he gives the greatest speech of all time.
No shit they’re nervous, dude. Most of them have never flown the type of plane they’re about to fly and on top of that they’re going to fight an alien life force with superior technology.
/seriously in my top 2 movies all time.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:34 AM
Goldblum and Tommy Lee Jones are two of my favorite actors. Tommy has been mailing it in as of late though, and Goldblum really hasn’t been in anything aside from Law and Order.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:34 AM
yeah, you’d think they’d be using iOS at that point and unable to accept ancient Apple technology.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:35 AM
wouldn’t it be great if the news conference was actually just Peyton eating Oreos in celebration of the cookie’s 100th anniversary?

Have the cap space for sure but are saying that they’re focusing on re-signing Alex Smith as a priority. Could just be a smokescreen as Smith is clearly only valuable to the Niners.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Miz approves.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
I know, right? I mean, it’s a movie about aliens living as people and a big cockroach taking over a man’s body, but I just can’t get down with some of the small mistakes they made.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
right before he gives the greatest speech of all time.
I’m partial to Alec Baldwin’s in Glengarry Glenn Ross.
/Fuck you! That’s my name.

Speaking of homer announcers, has Hawk Harrelson died yet? No? Oh well at least the Sox will suck this year.

Bill Paxton was great in that.

March 7th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
Goldblum and Tommy Lee Jones are two of my favorite actors.
has anybody besides me (and obviously the moleman) seen a terrible, terrible movie called either Mad Dog Time or Trigger Happy? It stars Jeff Goldblum and a big ensemble, but it is spectacularly terrible.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
If SG is around, got the fiance to watch the first episode of Downton Abbey last night. She’s hooked! Looks like that will be required viewing for a few weeks until we catch up. They sure as hell squeezed a lot of stuff into one episode.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
I know, right? I mean, it’s a movie about aliens living as people and a big cockroach taking over a man’s body, but I just can’t get down with some of the small mistakes they made.

March 7th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
That part is ridiculous. They have what 2 hours of flight training to fly the F/A 18? Most operators take years to be able fly like they did.

Oh man it’s a gorgeous day in Pittsburgh.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
He’s actually been in “Glee” this season. Not a fan of that show…it’s way TOO gay and heavy-handed in its political correctness. That said, it will probably have a positive benefit for gays when their young female viewers reach voting age.

I can’t see it happening. Coach loves Alex. Alex loves Coach. Do I believe he’d bring a Super Bowl to them? Absolutely. Do I think the Niners can win it with Alex? No.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
Anyone know if SanFran can afford him?
They don’t have a starting QB under contract, so I’m sure they can. Alex Smith is currently a free agent.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
Come on now, he played Ruxin’s Dad in The League and showed us all his vinegar strokes.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
Vincent D’Onofrio deserved an Academy Award nomination for his work in that movie.
“A guy came here the other day…… a dead man.”

i’d be interested to see the real life version of that, where 90% of the planes either launch their missiles while taxing to the runway or crashing immediately after take off.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:41 AM
Come on now, he played Ruxin’s Dad in The League and showed us all his vinegar strokes.
Oh I know…. he’s great in small doses too… I need me some more snarky goldblum though.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
i’d be interested to see the real life version of that, where 90% of the planes either launch their missiles while taxing to the runway or crashing immediately after take off
I honestly don’t think even half of them would get off the ground. (assuming the pilots had never flown that type of plane before)
March 7th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
Oh…there’s plenty of that, but I managed to get though it. She was bulimic and anorexic at one point and then her father fell under control of Satan (or was just really depressed for those of you who believe in science) and committed suicide. It’s a pretty sad story when you read it, but basically she’s now super religious after seeing satan take control of dad.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
Don’t they have a lot of guys on that Defense that they need to pay?
March 7th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
I don’t believe it would be an issue. I said last night:
Manning + Mike Wallace = Super Bowl!
March 7th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
her father fell under control of Satan
must have been rough.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
This is my thinking as well. Obviously this is provided that their doctors check him out, but if they give the go ahead I would be the most aggressive if I were San Fran. With that defense they could be a 13-14 game winner for the next couple of seasons.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
I need to actually read the entire thing but there’s too much God involved for me.
Do that, and you’ll understand why there’s so much god involved. I give props to this chick. Her videos with the Honey Badger and other LSU football players are pretty cool.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
Don’t they have a lot of guys on that Defense that they need to pay?
every team has a lot of guys they need to pay. And a lot of holes to fill. The question was whether San Fran could afford him. Obviously he doesn’t come cheaply, so you have to scrimp elsewhere.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
Come on now, he played Ruxin’s Dad in The League and showed us all his vinegar strokes.
I miss The League. Especially the main chick who’s name is escaping me right now.

I love how Will Smith and Goldblum get caught in the nuclear blast in outer space, then they’re back down on Earth smoking the same cigars that they had in space. I believe that’s exactly how that shit would go down.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
I miss The League. Especially the main chick who’s name is escaping me right now.
I call her the unicorn. Because she doesn’t exist. No woman is that awesome, unless she’s a character written by a bunch of men.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Most are under contract currently. They franchised Goldson and Rogers is a free agent, but I think they are going to let him walk or at least wait to see what the market value is for him. The belief is that the front 7 made the secondary what they were last year and that he can be replaced with Culliver. Don’t know that I agree with that entirely, but I also don’t want to commit big money to a 31 year old corner.
We might want to find someone that can play right guard full time.
Fuck you, Chilo Rachal.

Convenient that the director left out the landing scene. I guess on re-entry they just plopped down to earth and managed to land only a few miles away from where they took off, seemingly without any sort of navigational aid.

March 7th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
If you’re really a pilot, it’s actually easier to go up levels to a bigger plane than down.
2 hours is of course unrealistic, but it is a movie.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
Doubt it, especially with the way they’d have to structure the Wallace contract so Pitt couldn’t match it. The most likely scenario is for us to continue building through the draft. I can see us making a run at a guy like Colston or Jackson, but that’s about it. This version of the Niners doesn’t believe in big splashes through free agency.

March 7th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
I’ve read some reports about New England making a move to get him.
at a cost of a contract, plus the 31st pick? When they’ve got such awful receivers? They’d be idiots not to. Plus, they’ve got another first round draft choice.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
fug, meant blast.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Because he threw at Duke!!
FWIW, I think he should retire. It’s not worth the risk. I would be skeptical of the Niners paying big money to him, even though he’s Peyton fucking Manning.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Sooo…nobody is going to expalin these invisible kids taking over twitter huh?
March 7th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
they won’t get him unless they lock down Welker to a long term deal first, but they aren’t normally in the habit of paying an outsider more money than the players already on their team. locking up something like 20% of the cap for two players at the same position while losing a draft pick doesn’t fit with the team philosophy.
more likely Brandon Lloyd is the WR they get, outside chance on Mario Williams.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
Yeah, I made it through about 3/4 before I had to stop. I can’t separate the God issue because it’s coming across as a place to lean on when you don’t want to actively deal with the emotional trauma yourself. Or as a way to explain things to yourself that can’t really be explained. Neither position is one I can relate to.

March 7th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
It would really follow the pattern of how they’ve gotten their recent good receivers(Welker, Moss). Can’t draft em, might as well trade that draft pick that everyone made fun of you for accumulating, and pick a guy who’s already proven.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
FWIW, I think he should retire.
I don’t, I love watching him play. If there’s any dude that can extend his career because of how smart he is, it’s him. He was a statue before the injury. If all that he’s lost is the ability to place the ball in stride 40 yards down the field and instead can only go 30, he’s still a a very good QB.
March 7th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
Convenient that the director left out the landing scene. I guess on re-entry they just plopped down to earth and managed to land only a few miles away from where they took off, seemingly without any sort of navigational aid.

I don’t think he’s a legit #1. I really like him, but I’ve always looked at him more a Muhsin Muhammad type guy as opposed to someone like V. Jackson. I can’t imagine him wanting to go from playing with somebody like Drew Brees to Alex Smith, but money talks, right? If Randy Moss really ‘lit it up’ yesterday with his workout, I find it hard to see the Saints even trying to re-sign Colston.

if there’s one guy they spend money big money on, it’s Williams. Wallace is a good receiver, but can he handle the system the way he needs to?
Take Lloyd if he comes with a discount and hold on to the draft picks for taking a chance on a WR.

March 7th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
Exactly.
March 7th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
in all honesty, they wouldn’t need a Wallace level talent at WR if they had a more stable running game that would at least give the defense reason to commit more than just the front 4 to rushing the passer.
March 7th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
It is cooler than not providing any constructive out of fear of being shot down.

March 7th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
I agree with the way they’re approaching free agency. No need to commit big money to Rogers, as I think, while he fit the D really well, so much was dependent on the front 7 just beast-moding. If he gets a big offer, then let him walk, but if the market’s tepid (which I think it will be) then the Niners have a lot more leverage to sign him.
March 7th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
I laughed.
/she seems pretty cool, though
