Perhaps though I don’t think it was “The Decison” itself. Once ESPN dumped all the pr responsibility of “The Decision” on Lebron as if they didn’t have anything to do with it and the Miami celebration happened then the “rest of the nation?” joined in.

Just like anything else in life, not all situations in games are the same. I’ve yet to see a group of Football players hold hands in unity and prayer for a Touchdown or free throw in the first quarter. I haven’t seen too many rally caps in the first inning either.

IIRC, ESPN had a countdown clock and teams were clearing cap space well ahead of time and, in some cases like the Knicks, tanking seasons to make a run at the available players.

They’d be in the same position, and probably just as butthurt. It’s not like Lebron was 100% committed to Cleveland… he was being wooed by teams all summer.
