So why were they drying the track at 4pm?

Because they are fucking idiots. They had a one hour window without rain and it takes 2.5 hours to dry the track…

They need to hire someone with common fucking sense that makes decisions in the AM when all you need is a radar to tell you that it will rain until later tonight.
