Lance Berkman unveiled his Sgt. Slaughter look at Cardinals’ Spring Training. It’s a versatile look. Throw in a denim shirt, some work boots and a more ironic sunglasses choice and he’s a Brooklyn hipster. Might want to be careful about wearing hoodies.

The crazy thing about Sgt. Slaughter, is that he went pro-Iraq during Desert Storm. That was his angle!! He was an Iraqi sympathizer and had to wear a bullet proff vest to the ring. Imagine if CM Punk was Pro Al-Queda now? The freak out level would be unimaginable.

Sacha Baron Cohen has officially entered my shit list. That guy is fucking annoying. I can’t wait for his movie to come out and bomb and then not here about him for awhile.

It was so sad when they mad Slaughter go heel against Hogan at WM.
Everything about that was awful. From the forgoing of the Warrior/Hogan rematch at WM VII, to them moving it from The Coliseum to the LA Sports Arena. Sure, it resulted in Warrior vs. Savage and Warrior pinning him after about 17 consecutive shoulder tackles, but Hogan vs. Slaughter is one of the worst WM main events ever. Worse than Undertaker vs. Diesel. If that counts as the main event.

Everyone needs to follow Iron Sheik on twitter — could be the best follow out there. He somehow can make a reference to current pop culture with late 80′s\early 90′s wrestling and bizzare sexual overtones. It’s really something.

I wish Tyler Perry’s movie would go the same route. Sadly, it will probably win the box office this weekend.

you can’t get a better storyline than this. I’ve read less complicated foriegn policy stuff in Tom Clancy novels.
In the summer of 1990 Slaughter returned to the WWF, but shortly after making his televised return, Slaughter’s gimmick as that of a patriotic American soldier was turned upside down, when his character temporarily turned against America to become an Iraqi sympathizer.[4] Slaughter announced he was disgusted with his country, claiming America had “gone soft” for accepting the Soviet Union’s Nikolai Volkoff, (Volkoff, in Slaughter’s absence, had recently split from his tag partner Boris Zhukov, then turned face and embraced America, due in part to the fall of the wall). Slaughter aligned himself with a kayfabe Iraqi military general, General Adnan, and entered a feud with Volkoff (which saw Slaughter win the majority of their encounters at house shows), leading to a match at that year’s Survivor Series which saw The Alliance (Volkoff, Tito Santana, and The Bushwhackers) defeat The Mercenaries (Slaughter, Boris Zhukov, and The Orient Express).

the Savage/Elizabeth reunion is one of the greatest WWE moments of all-time.
