The year was 1985 and this tall, skinny kid wearing a Cincinnatti Reds cap walked into the Sports Information Office at Cal State Northridge and said I want to work here next semester. I asked for some writing samples and even at the young age, Tim Brown knocked my socks off. This kid had a future and I needed to get out of his way long enough to be successful. Sadly, I changed jobs and never got to work with him but have admired him from afar for more than 25 years. Tim Brown is not only a great writer, he is an outstanding human being. We should all be so lucky to know this man.

The interviews are the best thing he writes, just amused that there’s always a question or two aimed at getting a response and it’s not even cleverly subtle

You have to admire the tortured logic of his position. You either vote setting aside the PED issue or you don’t vote for anyone who played in the PED era. Anything else is a God Complex masquerading as a “conscience.”

I’d argue his approach is that of having a God Complex.
