I think the Lakers should just be shopping for a decent point guard. Their strength is Gasol/Bynum. Why weaken that? They should just flip Phoenix a 1st round pick for Aaron Brooks when he comes back.

Being rid of Boozer’s enormous contract is actually the most beneficial part of the trade for Chicago.

Any talk of him being amnestied at the end of the year? Not sure what kind of contract Kris Humphries would ask for at the end of the year, but say Chicago signs him to replace Boozer. Would they have enough cap space to make a run at someone like Eric Gordon, who if I’m not mistaken, was Derrick Rose’s high school AAU teammate?

I agree, but if said trade for Boozer and Gasol went through, which none of us think will, and putting those two together (Gasol and Noah) – I don’t think there would be a better interior passing tandem in the league.
