Wow! I always valued this website as one with clever, intelligent, and hilarious bloggers. If you can’t see that Kenny Powers is a caricature of self-centered and unaware athletes, you don’t get the show at all. He is the narcissistic, entitled jock personified. Were he a black football player you may have gotten the obvious parody, but what makes that character funny is that he is the unaware and ignorant BECAUSE he has had everyone suck his cock all his life! Kenny Powers is a less talented, red-neck Terrell Owens, rodger Clemens, and, ironically, less successful guys who never made it big, but thought they did. In other words, if you think this show’s genius is not based on reality, then you are not in touch with it.

It fosters the pop-surrealism of making Powers a live person outside the confines of the show.

This is something the show has done since season one. I dont follow him anymore, but Kenny Powers on twitter was pretty funny in the beginning and probably the first (that I recall) fictional character to be on Twitter that was actually created by the show.
