that ’94 team was loaded and winning their division before the strike, right? Griffey was on pace or was close to being on pace to hit more than 61 dingers too, IIRC. That strike really fucked over the Expos though.

It is entirely possible he made a guest appearance, there was a player each week. According to Wikipedia, he did not, though.

This was right in my wheelhouse, as it was on the air from age 8 to 11 for me. The San Diego Chicken at the height of his stardom. George Brett was on, and they also once did a re-enactment of the pine tar incident using the Chicken.
