He didn’t call the bank. Lucky shot
February 14th, 2012 at 8:09 AM
Took the wife to see “The Vow” last night. We both enjoyed it! Great V-Day movie.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:10 AM
Those were not flattering pictures of her. She looked doughy.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:13 AM
Man jailed for chainsaw attack in Hull pub
Finding his inner Patrick Bateman.
Ashley Tisdale in a bikini on roller skates …
knee-high socks and roller skates are like chocolate and peanut butter.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:13 AM
Well it is always easier when a teammate chokes worse than you on the previous play.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:15 AM
she claims to have only eaten pizza for 31 years
Not as impressive as the guy who’s eaten a big mac every day for like 50 years IMO.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:16 AM
49% chance I see that this week. As a huge Rachel McAdams fans, I figure I can sit through 90 minutes of a rom com
February 14th, 2012 at 8:17 AM
As for being the best player in NBA history on the basis of four games, call me cynical but it seems a little much, although a ticker-tape parade down Fifth is probably in the works as we speak. He is already being declared one of the greatest undrafted free agents in history, but is he really in a category with other undrafted players such as Ben Wallace and John Starks?
Jeez. Tell me where he says he hates Jeremy Lin. He doesn’t hate Lin. He hates Linsanity. A lot of us do. Come on now. You know better.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:17 AM
I’m sure there are others. Breesus, perhaps.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:18 AM
You should of went last night Jmac… Linsanity is in full force for the next few days.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:19 AM
Ha. That didn’t lose them the game.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:20 AM
That first picture would be much better without that dumb look on her face
February 14th, 2012 at 8:20 AM
Like I said. I don’t hate him. Nobody likes to be force fed ANYTHING. This is the textbook definition of agenda setting. We’re going to talk about him until you can’t help but talk about him.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:21 AM
I dunno, it’s not like the kick was blocked or whatever. The ‘drop’ was slapped down. I’d say it’s a worse choke to straight up fail without being defensed.

My mistake, I forgot it was Floyd Mayweather who thinks this is all a racial thing. Of course you do, Floyd.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:22 AM
The biggest difference between Linsanity and Tebowmania is the lack of haters. No one really seems to hate Lin quite like they did Tebow… at least not yet.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:23 AM
I find catching the oblong object far easier than kicking the oblong object.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:24 AM
this VaLintines Day Roundup is Lin-heavy. has Lin Linvaded TBL’s heart and ousted Tebow? draw your own conclusions.

Did any of the press today mention that Kate Upton won the TBL Culture tournament?
February 14th, 2012 at 8:39 AM
Buzz supposedly “hates” him, but all he basically said is that if he was black and/or played for the Bucks, he’d still be anonymous. Tell me where that is an unreasonable statement.
There is Linsanity backlash already. Not on Tim Tebow levels. But a lot of people realize that this is such a transparent attempt to make a New York City basketball version of TebowMania.

“Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer Robbed By Man Armed With Machete”
Machete says overturn Citizens United.
Sour grapes, Berry? “Missouri, Texas A&M will regret leaving the Big 12.”
I remember this d-bag from when the Hornets were in OKC and how he and his rag of a paper were all pushing for the team to stay for good. Sounded rather childish then, but this is a whole new level.
That picture of Rihanna and Katy Perry is awesome. Would pay good money to see them do what they are thinking at that moment.

I could care less about the Knicks before last week. Now I can’t wait to see what happens tonight.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
1. There is a big difference between Home schooled/UF and Harvard.
2. Lin does not appear to be a closeted homosexual.
3. Knicks do not run a ridiculous offense to hide Lin’s weaknesses
4. As far as I know Lin has never spent his time in the off-season cutting genitals with a knife
February 14th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
2. Lin does not appear to be a closeted homosexual.
I dont know man, that haircut is pretty suspicious

Thought this would be really cool but ended up being a dork who grew up playing racquetball since he was 2. After his next loss, look for him to be free-basing in a La Quinta Inn with a Perkins waitress.

February 14th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
maybe, but what it all comes down to is the $$$$$$ and they will get more of that in the SEC when it is all said and done. I mean what is the difference between aTm not being able overcome Texas or OU, when they can go to the SEC and not overcome LSU, Bama or Arkansas and still get paid more for it. I don’t see many regrets for them.

It is that easy.

I don’t think there’s much to regret leaving the likes of Baylor, TTech, and Kansas State behind.
I’ll never yearn for the halcyon days of the Texas N Friends conference.

after the exit penalty and the new deal they are leaving behind in the big 12, they will not be getting paid a whole lot more in the sec. plus, aggie will be a pariah in the state they so proudly reside in, and will not come close to competing in the SEC which sooner rather than later will damage what is already a struggling program. they will regret t.

They get richer by overworking Jeremy Lin’s long-distance family.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
I thought the SEC move was a good one for aTm. I could end up being wrong, of course. Missouri, I’m not so sure about. Still, I didn’t have any problem with the article at all. The opinions seemed genuine and fairly well-reasoned.
February 14th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
Dude – seriously? This has NEVER happened before! Name a time in the last 50 years when you have seen anything similar to Linsanity? The only thing I can think of is when Tom Brady took over for an injured Drew Bledsoe and led the Pats to the Super Bowl… but even that didn’t generate this type of buzz.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
Surely some of you have a strong opinion about this, right?

Did they take this idea from Party Down? Because in one of the episodes they talk about how they are making an Edgar Allen Poe vampire killing movie where Lincoln helps him.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:01 AM
I don’t get this. He didn’t “drop” the ball. He had his hands on it and the defender knocked it away. But I guess the narrative has already been written.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:02 AM
aggie will be a pariah in the state they so proudly reside in,
I can just see how football-crazy Texas folks are going to be turned off by watching Bama v A&M or LSU v A&M or UF v A&M back to back to back. They’re going to say “Gimme more Baylor v TT!” specially in Houston.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:02 AM

a pariah in the state
Explain
one of the great things about living in texas regardless of which school you went to in the state is that everyone socializes at bars, homes etc and talks about their school, the program, last weeks game etc. the loudest always in that group? aggies. now this fall when i am talking to a texas buddy about last weeks game against “x”, aggie will come up and want to talk about how they just cant figure out how to get to lexington. the rest of us dont care to humor them anymore. i have already seen it happen, people are socially boxing out a&m.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:05 AM

February 14th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
Yeah Ravens fans are kind of pissing me off today. The Evans drop only extended the game. The Goddamn missed fucking field goal had a direct result in them losing the game. I would hate Neil Rackers right now if he missed that field goal. I wouldn’t hate Andre Johnson if he dropped that pass
February 14th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
Happy VaLINtine’s day, JHS.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
Actually, Susan Boyle is a better analogy than Tebow for this hype. Tebow didn’t literally come out of nowhere.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
isn’t that just because they all smell like shit?
February 14th, 2012 at 9:08 AM

that is very, very possible.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
But there was no guaranteed win if Cundiff makes the FG. I think the DB made a great play, but it’s game over if he holds on. The Ravens could have still lost in OT if he made the FG.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
people are socially boxing out a&m.
isn’t that just because they all smell like shit?
I’d say it’s more because they’re conceited as all hell.
Trust me, Aggies stick together in Houston and they outnumber any other fanbase in that city — even UH’s and Rice’s. They’ll find people to talk shit to.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
A couple big wins and that’ll go away. I think some of it is jealousy and some of it is ignorance. And a shitload of condescension. Things will change. Not overnight, but they’ll change again.
And with that I’m withdrawing from being pulled offsides over A&M bashing for a while. The shit makes my blood boil but I can’t help that we have a bunch of unrealistic alums making me look bad.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
I guess in the short term they may regret it. but the current big 12 tv deal is absolute garbage (don’t know what the new one is) and you know the SEC is going to get a new deal overslowing with money when their current one is up. not to mention it’s not like aTm has been any kind of a regular competitor in the big 12 as of late, so nothing really changed on that front either.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
I was disappointed in the story as well. it did make me miss playing racquetball though…I haven’t played in two years.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:11 AM

February 14th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
The Aggies will be fine. I mean, they won’t compete for conference titles in the revenue sports but they didn’t do that in the Big 12, either. I see a Mississippi State ceiling for them, depending on who they bring aboard after they let Byrne go.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
And with that I’m withdrawing from being pulled offsides over A&M bashing for a while. The shit makes my blood boil but I can’t help that we have a bunch of unrealistic alums making me look bad.
i am not trying to draw you offsides. my wife is an aggie, and i had a lot of fun visiting BCS in college. but just about every aggie i know, and they are plenty, has turned into this defensive asshole when it comes to sports etc. its certainly not limited. it sucks because the delusion used to be fun to poke at, now its just not worth it.

That Barry Tramel article is hilarious. He sounds personally hurt that Mizzou left the B12. Poor guy.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
I’m sure we’ll see a Skip Bayless puff piece before too long. Something where he wears his heart on his sleeve.
Skip Bayless saddled up to fellow ESPN wank Colin Cowherd, the topic was CC’s co-host. “I think we’re exact opposites when it comes to her, said Bayless. “You say you don’t want to sleep with her but don’t mean it. I’d tell everybody I’d take her to pound town but wouldn’t!” They partake in this laugh riot, quasi-celebrating Bayless’s thinly-closeted homosexuality.
I spent the day at ESPN with Bayless. Fortunately security took my firearm at the entrance….

Mizzou will love life in the SEC during bball season. They will be at worst the 3rd best team every year. I think they’ll do fine in football. I don’t think they’re winning the SEC any time soon, but they weren’t winning the B12 either (I think they only won the B12 north what, twice?
February 14th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
yeah, i can agree with that. for the most part, anything after ed wood or edward scissorhands is all the same to me.

Would that be a different dumb look than the one that she always sports?
February 14th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
It’s not unreasonable to say they’ll finish 2nd in the East behind UGA. 4th at worst, unless Tennessee gets better.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
WTF are you talking about? If fucking Evans held on to the ball, it’s game over. Over… The. Game. Is. Over. And. The. Ravens. Win.
And as it’s been said many times before, and as everyone else knows, Cundiff’s FG in no way guarantees a win. Ravens could have easily lost on the first freaking possession of OT.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
The Aggies left for more money, what do you think they are going to do, come out and say “yeah we know we cant compete in football but its more money” get real. They will have some up and down years, just like they did in the big 12. They will make back the buyout money in the next couple years and in the long run make a ton more money in the SEC. With UT having that Longhorn Network deal do you think the Big 12 next TV deal is going to come anywhere close to the SEC?? Hell no. It was a very smart move for the Aggies.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:32 AM
We gotta stop with the Ashley Tisdale stuff. She’s not attractive. You can find a skinny shapeless fake blonde anywhere.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:32 AM
Agree. Like Edward Scissorhands a lot. The 2nd Batman movie is way underrated for me.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
Bruce Weber.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
I’m not even sure about that. Haith is playing with a loaded team right now thanks to Mike Anderson, not sure what his recruiting class looks like for next year but his team this year has a lot of upper-classmen. they will still be in the top half of the sec in hoops every year and should make the tournament more often than not though.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
Loved Colbert’s Jeremy Lin-oleum tiles.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
Pee-Wee dancing to “tequila” automatically puts it in the top 3.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:34 AM
yeah, not a fan. Now Vanessa Hudgens on the other hand…
February 14th, 2012 at 9:35 AM
South Carolina and UGA are the class of the East next year. Florida should be nasty on defense, but have a limp dick for an offense. Tenn is the wild card as they should be nasty via the passing game. I think Mizzou goes 4-4 or 5-3 (at best) in the SEC next year. They have road games with Carolina, Florida and Texas A&M as well as home games with UGA and Bama.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:35 AM
those batman movies did not age well at all. saw them a few weeks ago, i have no idea what the appeal was, but I might be distorted from the Chris Nolan batman films.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Who is going to be better? Bama? Miss St? Other than Kentucky and Florida the SEC is a cesspool of suck in basketball.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Except that they’re leaving a conference that gets 6-7 bids regularly and joining a conference that has been getting 3-4 lately.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
“Pee-Wee, listen to reason! Pee-Wee…”
“Shhhhh I’m listening to reason!”
February 14th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
Batman Returns is … not that good.
You know what else didn’t age well?
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The former has little rewatch value, a whole lot less than the first Burton Batman, and the latter is, honestly, outside of Ledger, Caine, and Freeman, mediocre at best.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
Tell ‘em LARGE MARGE sent you
February 14th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
If Wikipedia is correct (and it always is), Burton is just producing the Lincoln movie, not directing.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
Turns out that Jack Nicholson was a pretty good actor.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
Dark Batman > Campy Batman
to me
February 14th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
The buzz leading up to that first Tim Burton Batman movie with Michael Keaton was pretty heavy. Nicholson as the Joker was a big deal in 1989 (or whenever that came out). The only movies for comic book junkies to that point was Superman, I believe.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
Batman & Robin is legendary
/What killed the dinosaur’s? THE ICE AGE
February 14th, 2012 at 9:41 AM
Yeah, look at the resume of the guy directing it. Yikes.
I ended a friendship over someone trying to tell me that Nightmare Before Christmas is a Tim Burton movie.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:41 AM
Michael Keaton. Legend.
/that’s how it’s done, right
February 14th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
I find Begins to be far more re-watchable than TDK. I would like a Dark Knight that was 30 minutes long and only the Ledger stuff.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
Marvel had some horrible TV adaptions. the Spider-Man live action show was particularly horrible.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
any day of the week and twice on sunday
February 14th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
I enjoyed both of those Batman movies that you named and I can’t wait for the next Batman movie to come out.
But I can relate to the re-watchability point: I’ve had no desire to re-watch “Batman Begins” or “The Dark Knight”….and I’ll rewatch most movies that I like until I’m sick of them.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
I liked the Val Kilmer Batman.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
The SNES game was awesome.

February 14th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
Arkansas is getting better, and like you said Miss. St. is usually decent and Bama is always a wildcard. like I said, they should be top half every year.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
I mean, he created the story. That’s kind of a big deal, no?
February 14th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
He did get a writing credit.
Plus, people get associated with movies over something as simple as a EP role all the time. All they probably do is show up once, shake everybody’s hand, and go home to cash their ginormous check.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
I enjoyed them as well. When I saw Dark Knight I was blown away. Then I rewatched it, big big mistake. I am really looking forward to this one but … Catwoman, Bane’s muddled voice, kind of worried.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
I love how the news stories talk about how people were “shocked” by her death.
Come on. I was more surprised when Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse died.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
I love bad movies but that was so, so painful
February 14th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
“merci beaucoup, Pee-Wee!”
“merci blah blah!”
February 14th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
Jesus. They aren’t getting close to Mizzou. As a program Mizzou is way above ARK right now. Mizzou should be in the top 1/3rd every year, not the top half. The SEC SUUUUUCKS in bball. It is what it is. We don’t give a shit about it by and large, and it shows.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Michael Kaeton was the worst Batman. I mean, a short Bruce Wayne with a receding hairline? Come on now.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
“Don’t make me angry. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”
February 14th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Well the whole idea was his but yes you were right he didn’t technically direct it. He certainly wasn’t used to promote it.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
Yes. They tried to tell me he directed it though. Henry Selick is the best stop motion animator ever though, and he didn’t get nearly enough credit for that movie because Burton’s name was on it. “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.” Bah. Look at the dumpster fire that is the animation of Corpse Bride, and compare it to that and Coraline, see who the real creative one is.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
I liked Batman Forever.
/ducks
February 14th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
Don’t you dare disparage Mr. Mom.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
I love the myth that Missouri is some kind of basketball powerhouse too. they have been to ONE Elite Eight. Ever. and ZERO Final fours. that is quite the tradition.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
Agreed, but Arkham Asylum and City are beyond f’n awesome.
And George Clooney as Batman = huge mistake
February 14th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
Didn’t ARK steal Mizz’s coach? Why can’t he duplicate what he had at Mizz in short order?
February 14th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
Michael Keaton. Legend.
Yeah, 220, 221. Whatever it takes.
Second thing: there’s a serial rapist in Crown Heights… sorry, that’s from my other job, ignore that. No, wait, don’t ignore it, especially if you live in Crown Heights.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
Kate looks good in that white dress on Letterman. How many years could Dave possibly have left?
February 14th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
Or Hunt Stevenson.
/Gung Ho’d
February 14th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
The movie isn’t made if Burton’s name isn’t attached to it.
Not a powerhouse, but they are a consistent program, which other than UK and FLA, are few and far between in the SEC.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
Don’t go chasin’ waterfalls.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
I forgot about Beetlejuice! That and Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure are the best Tim Burton movies.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
i disagree to a point. I was pretty excited when I saw batman on hbo a few weeks back after not seeing it for a long time (used to rewatch it and was a big fan of it) and i was really blown away with how bad the film was. Nicholson and Keaton were good, everything else was horrible. even Robert Wuhl and that’s hard to believe is even possible.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
maybe this year, but like I said above, Mizzou loses a ton after this year, Arkansas loses 2 guys, and one of them isn’t very good. plus Arkansas should have more than 9 healthy scholarship players next year.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
Man I cannot imagine how that plucky little Disney company that owned the rights could have scraped together the cash to do it.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
The Penguin’s death scene in Batman Returns still disturbs me for some reason.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Mizzou cares more about basketball than Arkansas does.
/mainly a statement about their football programs
February 14th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Haith is an awesome, awesome game coach. And I’m not just saying that to suck up to Lisk. He’s one of the best. They’re not “his” players but he’s made that team work as well as it possibly can. They’re at worst a strong 2 seed. Who saw that coming?
February 14th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
Well of course but SNES is classic. My brother got me Arkham Asylum for Christmas (told him to get me the first one since it would be cheaper) and I am enjoying it. Glad they used the Joker persona from the first animated series, that was the best adaptation of Batman ever.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
Johnny Dangerously.
“Hey Johnny, you know your last name is an adverb?”
“Huh, whatdayaknow?”
February 14th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
Tim Burton’s best work in the past 15 years is Big Fish.
I’ll agree with this. The Joker story in TDK >>>>> 1989 Batman
February 14th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
yeah, arkham asylum is great, i have arkham city waiting in my game queue but from what i’ve played it’s awesome.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
He did get a writing credit.
Plus, people get associated with movies over something as simple as a EP role all the time. All they probably do is show up once, shake everybody’s hand, and go home to cash their ginormous check.
There are a million cases where the lead writer does not get the writing credit. Moreso in TV but you never know exactly. The Executive Producer stuff got put under control after Madonna’s haridresser got a EP credit for Evita.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
That’s part of why it’s so watchable. The new ones take themselves far too seriously outside of Ledger and the supporting roles.
It’s like how I loved Eastern Promises, and I bought the DVD, then realized I’m never going to watch it again.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
Robert Wuhl should have retired after he played Newbomb Turk.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
yep, they are already well on there way. remember a couple years ago when Mizzou couldn’t lose at home and couldn’t win shit on the road? that is Arkansas this year, but with younger players.
no arguement on that. I think in hoops, Missouri = Miss. St., hell, probably about the same in football too now that I think about it.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
If that plucky little company had its way it would have been computer animated.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
Kevin Conroy is the best Batman ever and Mark Hammil is the best Joker ever, this shouldn’t even be up for debate.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
Well yeah, because 1989 Batman was about Batman and Vicki Vail. TDK was about Batman and the Joker, especially after Ledger died.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
I just love the fact they have Hamill doing the voice for Joker.
I’m only a little in, but yeah, no disagreement from my end.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
ScarJo with the cottage cheese ftw.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
Arli$$ was a great show.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
Disney doesn’t want a bomb any more than Spielberg does. They wanted to know people would be interested in a quirky concept and having Burton on the poster gets them that. There have been plenty of great stories/movies that were never made because hollywood didn’t get a big name attached to it.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:56 AM

I promise you, that show was really good.
Also, I can’t figure out how to work this in, but it’s still funny. I only saw it yesterday, but I imagine it’s been around since the first person laughed at the first cat.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
NICE FUCKING MODEL!!!
February 14th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
When they show Heath Ledgers actual face in TDK when in the police uniform = FREAKOUT every time.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
I honestly don’t know a thing about him as a coach, but I think it has to say something about him coming into a situation like he did, take someone else’s players that (I assume) don’t play his style of ball and keep them legit. I really don’t know how much better Mizzou would be this year if Anderson was still their coach.
February 14th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
I get that. I’m not knocking Burton for having his name on it, I’m just saying that when people list Tim Burton movies that shouldn’t be on there. I mean the whole reason he didn’t direct it was because he was busy with other shit.
Plus Selick is the one who storyboarded the Wheelers for Return to Oz, dude is a tripped out legend!

February 14th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
also i think that was the motivation to cast maggie gyllenhall and katie holmes as the love interest. they were no kim bassinger circa 1989 so there’s no way the story or marketing can be made to play up that angle.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:02 AM

Unwittingly perhaps the most pivotal figure in Gamecock athletics history. After signing with SC, the ACC declared him ineligible, and that was the direct reason that led to SC bolting the ACC and wandering the independent wilderness for 20 years.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:06 AM
As someone who watched him for years at Miami, I’m calling absolute bullshit on this. I think he’s good, he knows recruiting and maybe he has learned a few tricks from his time in south Florida but calling him awesome and using the word twice after I saw UM fart away a ton of games during his time there I disagree.

It took me at least 15+ hours to complete Arkham Asylum on Normal and find all of the Riddler trophies (240). Considering there is 400 in City and it’s much bigger, I expect to spend 25+.

Really? I’ve watched 4-5 Missouri games so far this year and they bust ass harder than any other team I’ve seen. They run solid plays out of timeouts and defensively they frustrate the hell out of people. I know that says a lot about the players too but coaching plays a massive factor into those things.
Dude, who would judge you on that? One of the most badass themes ever

February 14th, 2012 at 10:15 AM
In the comic, they at least played up the fact that she was too young and still developing her power, always implying that she could be much more “destructive” whatever that meant. The cartoon touched on none of that.
I loved the X-Men cartoon but can we all agree that the Morph storyline was painfully stupid? In what universe would a pained Wolverine shout, “This one’s for you, Morph!!”

Yup, my hubby got me chocolate covered strawberries back when he was wooing me. I was ecstatic.

I would still cut off my left big toe for 5 minutes with Missy Prydymdqkym.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
I’m shocked that something you watched when you were 10 isn’t as good now.

Pushed a watermelon through a garden hose. Twice I think.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
Damn, I think that’s better than cracker hore

The Morph storyline was awful, agreed. However, the Mr. Sinister and Apocolpyse and the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix sagas were absolutely badass.
I figure I have the rest of the year to catch up on my backlog and replay some older games (Final fantasy 7-10, God of War 1-3), before we start the settling process.

Women of TBL: would you prefer an edible arrangement to flowers? I’ve heard they are really tasty.
Yup, my hubby got me chocolate covered strawberries back when he was wooing me. I was ecstatic.
Yay, I sent chocolates.

I’ll bet it’s terrible on rewatching. but not nearly as bad as the Laff-a-lympics. That shit was rigged.

Team: Make your own

Thanks for the insight. I have two 5 year old daughters who will also get a kick out of it more than flowers, too. Seems like a win-win-win

Hahaha! I thought the same thing!

For this Valentine’s day, we will be going over to the Insurance agent’s office after work and signing life insurance papers. ROMANCE.

Alex Morgan has the same problem as Ginnifer Goodwin. Cute, no sex appeal.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:24 AM
Like I said yesterday, I probably won’t even see my wife tonight. I’m sure she’ll be in bed when I get home from class.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:24 AM
Again, maybe he has sharpened his game managing skills but right now I think it is just those seniors that have played together so long they know where each other will be. And they all play their asses off all 40 minutes. Time will tell but as I tell my roommate who is a Mizzou grad, just enjoy the ride this year and worry about the future next year.

The Smurfs, GI Joe, Transformers & Voltron have all aged surprisingly well.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:24 AM
Ginnifer Goodwin’s probably is that she gave herself a pixie cut even though she has elf ears. She looks way better with longer hair.

Making yourself the sole beneficiary? Should we be looking out for a mysterious death in the Reading PA obituaries?

Her character was annoying in Hes Not That Into You, But I would still give her the business.

Problem, not probably.

Ahhh, the sexy practicalities. I think we had the prenup meeting around Valentine’s Day.

SI should’ve just taken the pic from her Twitter background. Half of the body paint shots look like her head was photoshopped on someone else’s body.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
Sneak attack her with a boner when you get home, asleep or not
I SMELL SEX AND CANDY IN.. HERE

Still love most of the early John Hughes movies, and I suspect I always will.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:26 AM
Same with Airplane!

No way you didn’t start laughing half way through typing this. Not even you could put this into a comment box with a straight face.

whoever painted the top on Alex Morgan probably slashed the tires on whoever got to paint Gulbis’s upper half.

maybe not about titties, but think about the OT hours!
February 14th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
So I made the cut to final interviews for that mgr job (started at 100). Suprise interview yesterday afternoon… These execs throwing haymakers at me, but I’m doing well. Then – I say something like “I’m the smartest person on all the teams” instead of saying like experienced, highest job knowlege, etc. They had a field day w/ that. I did good damage control but I think if they want to be picky, that’ll be their talking point.
/Oh fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge’d

It would suck to be straight and be the body painter if you weren’t getting to taste the goods. Just one massive tease.
February 14th, 2012 at 10:39 AM
I don’t know how this could be more clear — Evans’ drop cost them a guaranteed win. Cundiff only would have sent it to OT.
People are acting like the defender made a great play. Bullshit. He swiped at a ball after it was in Evans’ hands just like every corner does on every catch in the NFL. How many times does that ball come out? One tenth of one percent of the time? Completely inexcusable drop.

I just watched that David Letterman video. There were at least 6 chicks hotter than Kate Upton. That brunette in the short, lacy blue dress is beautiful.
