Gina Carano’s big screen debut wasn’t very successful, but it did well enough to earn her another starring role in an action movie. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Carano will star in “In The Blood.” She’ll be working with John Stockwell, who directed Blue Crush, Into The Blue and Touristas. Yes, pretty much all your favorite movies about girls wearing bikinis.

This means that there is no return to MMA in sight for Carano. Which is great for her. Anytime you have an opportunity to get paid as much money to get pretend-punched in the face as you get paid to actually get punched in the face, you take it. “In the Blood” will start shooting later this year.

Described as being in the vein of Taken, Blood is set in motion when a husband disappears while vacationing in the Caribbean with his wife, to be played by Carano. The grieving wife passionately and recklessly pursues the men whom she believes kidnapped and killed him.

That sounds awesome. After that, Carano should find a script about fighting wolves. Or push to get American Gladiators back on the air. It can still work. [Hollywood Reporter]
