Sacramento is a top-20 media market – bigger than NBA markets like Orlando, Portland, Indianapolis (which also has NFL), Charlotte (also has NFL), Milwaukee (I think technically also an NFL city), Salt Lake City, San Antonio, New Orleans (also an NFL city), Memphis, and Oklahoma City. It’s bigger than multi-team markets like St. Louis (three teams), Pittsburgh (three teams), Baltimore, San Diego, Kansas City, and Cincinnati. Of the top 25 media markets, only three don’t have multiple major sports teams. Sacramento is the biggest (the others are Orlando, and Portland) of those three markets.

I think there’s already an agreement in place that Seattle could keep the Sonics name, and that the team history would be jointly shared by both franchises. Or some such nonsense. I get pissed off about the Zombie Sonics. Seattle had that team stolen out from under them and everyone is supposed to be okay with it.

Well fuck that. Fuck Oklahoma. Fuck David Stern. Fuck Clay Bennett. And fuck Rumble the Bison.
