He certainly has the tools, and after 2 more years under Brady/Belichick, I would think he’s about as good ‘a lock’ of a QB prospect as anyone. I almost think that whenever his rookie deal is up, that is when Brady is about done, unless they draft/develop/really like a new guy (very possible).

and, think about this. rumor is McDaniels took the OC job b/c he would be belichik’s successor. if BB is already thinking like that, 4-5 years down the line, i don’t see him giving up on brady before he retires unless it’s a brady/bledsoe or manning/luck situation. and I think both brady and belichik know their careers are intertwined at this point.

Its the way the scale works before it balances out. People have been talking about Eli’s legacy and ranking in the league since he took his first snap in the NFL, and often times it was negative. Now, there’s the premature talk of being a first ballot Hall of Famer. Eventually (hopefully for him), it will balance out and he’ll be allowed to play out his career just like every other player.

aside from a catastrophic injury I’d say 4-5 without a running game. with a running game that can take 25-30 carries off brady’s arm, 5-6 years is reasonable.

If you had told me going in that the defense would have played as well as it did, I’d have taken it.

Yup, you can nitpick at one or two specific plays, but overall I was very pleased with the D.

I thought all along “the first interception will lose the game” and it wasn’t necessarily true, but after everything, if somehow Brady could get a little more on that ball, Gronk had 5 yards on Blackburn. It’s strange to see a #93 intercept a ball 40 yards downfield.

Gronk had a step, and at his height, you normally assume he’d be able to go get the ball, but Brady couldn’t step into the throw, and gave his receiver no chance.

Overall, the Giants were the better team, and leading up to the game, anybody with a clear head could see that.

do people really see a dropoff for brady coming any time soon? he keeps getting better…team doesn’t get the same results, but he doesn’t have that beast D anymore. he’s still phenomenal tho and should be for the next three years at elast.
